Do you pay Dak? This is the biggest talking point in the offseason for Jerry Jones and his executives.
Stephen Jones, the son of Jerry Jones, and the CEO, indicated at the Combine that all the roads will be leading to Dak Prescott being paid top dollar.
The Cowboys fourth-round draft pick way back in 2016 has just produced his personal best season in Dallas – in terms of numbers.
Dallas Cowboys dilemma
However, history repeated itself when the Cowboys choked in their playoff campaign in the Wildcard round.
Dak Prescott threw the Green Bay Packers into a 27 to 7 lead at halftime with two interceptions, one being a pick six.
16 points in garbage time only made the score less embarrassing, 32-48 Packers.
AT&T stadium was left speechless.
Now, America’s Team are expected to be forced to pay their quarterback top dollar on a long-term deal, a reported $60 million per year.

Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals is currently the highest paid quarterback on $55 million.
If Prescott is to receive the big 60, then he will shatter the QB market and become the most lucrative signal caller in history.
This scenario did not go down well with former NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho on the talk show Speak on FS1: “I would just feel sick if I was a Cowboys fan.
“Dak Prescott keeps you in quarterback purgatory, and it’s something I heard from Colin Cowherd, the Cowboys will always be good with Dak Prescott, so good they will make the playoffs but not be good enough to win a Super Bowl.
“Then they won’t be bad enough to draft high, so now you’re stuck, you’re sick. You ain’t at the beginning nor you at the end.
“If you’re a bad football team you have hope and a great draft pick, if you’re an elite team you have hope and can win a Super Bowl but the Cowboys are neither.”
‘Are they paying him?’
Prescott and the Cowboys have won 12 games every year for the past three seasons and have nothing to show for it.
The three-time Pro Bowler continues to underdeliver in the big moments and could become the highest paid quarterback without being First-Team All-Pro.
Additionally, the Cowboys need to start paying all their star players if they want to hold on to them.
LeSean McCoy the six-time Pro Bowler alluded to this problem: “CeeDee Lamb he is a really good player, they need him… so are they paying him first?
“Another young brother, Micah Parsons, he might talk a lot but he can ball, is he getting paid?”
The Dallas Cowboys will be dealing with a financial headache this offseason, as they need to choose where to invest their money.
If Prescott receives this reported $60 million, then they could well be answering that exact question.
