Kansas City Chiefs latest star signing has just made Andy Reid’s team impossible to play against

The Kansas City Chiefs are trying to put all the necessary pieces in place to stand the best chance of winning three Super Bowls in a row.

Their wide receiver core shrunk considerably from the moment they lifted the Vince Lombardi Trophy to the start of free agency.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling was cut to save $13 million in cap space.

In addition, Kadarius Toney and Mecole Hardman were not offered new deals so subsequently landed in free agency.

Trimming the fat

Rashee Rice’s explosive rookie season put him in a great place to be given the role of wide receiver number one.

That seems to be the thinking of Andy Reid and his coaching staff.

Therefore, Patrick Mahomes now needs additional weapons at his disposal.

Mike Evans was a wishful thinking option but he committed to staying in Tampa Bay.

Moreover, Darnell Mooney was a target for the Chiefs but he slipped away as he landed in Atlanta.

Newly resigned Drue Tranquill took to social media to call out Marquise Brown and Mike Williams on X.

They are reliable wide receivers who are in free agency and searching for new deals.

Both have a reliable set of hands and are familiar with the AFC.

Brown is a Chief

Tranquill’s input may have worked as the next day it was announced Brown would sign a one-year deal with the Chiefs.

He landed in free agency after his deal with the Arizona Cardinals expired.

Before his time in the desert, he was a dangerous target for Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.

Brown achieved his breakout season in 2019, going for 1,008 yards playing all 16 games of the season.

Ravens traded the 26-year-old to the Cardinals for the latter’s first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Robert Griffin III took to X to post his reaction in the wake of the news, he seemed excited: “Travis Kelce controlling the middle of the field. Rashee Rice moving all over the formation. Hollywood Brown taking the top off. All of them spacing out the field for each other.”

The man known as ‘Hollywood’ is a fantastic addition to the Chiefs’ receiving core.

He boats blistering speed that Patrick Mahomes has probably lacked since the departure of Tyreek Hill.

Mahomes has a speedy target

Mahomes has the generational ability to be able to elevate players’ performances around.

The combination of Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice, and Hollywood Brown is a recipe for success.

Brown will be utilized as a deep threat for the Chiefs and Mahomes can flourish with his deep throw.

Besides as long as Brown does not drop any catchable passes he will be just fine in the Red Jersey.

Ultimately, this is a grim view for the other franchises as the Chiefs have now upgraded in a department.
