After the enthralling NFL Combine, many outlets try to predict the NFL Draft proceedings through their mock drafts.
Many franchises have different issues to address with their teams.
Additionally, some draft prospects are rated much higher and in greater demand than the rest of the class.
The Kansas City Chiefs are entering the 2024 NFL Draft just like they did in 2023 – Super Bowl champions.
However, despite being the reigning world champions they still have their issues to address if they are to be locked in on winning the three-peat.

Mock draft predictions
Like 2023, due to another Super Bowl success, they will be selecting last in the opening round of the NFL Draft.
One of the key problems that the Chiefs will be looking to address is boosting the wide receiver core.
The Chiefs dropped the most catchable passes in the NFL last season (25).
Head coach Andy Reid acknowledged this was a major issue for the team at the Combine.
Although this has been a significant problem, they became the first franchise to become back-to-back champions for the first time in 20 years.
Nevertheless, the mentality of the team is strong and they want to be even more dominant in 2024.
Mock draft indicators have leaned toward the idea the Chiefs will likely select a wide receiver.
PFF’s first mock draft suggested Kansas will select Ladd McConkey with the 32nd pick.
Xavier Worthy could be a Chief
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson produced his latest mock draft and continued with the idea that the Chiefs will draft a receiver.
However, Wilson suggested that the Chiefs will draft the rapid Xavier Worthy out of Texas University.
The draftee set a blistering time of 4.21 seconds, which became the fastest 40-yard dash time in Combine history.
Wilson liked the idea of an additional asset complementing soon-to-be sophomore Rashee Rice and tight end Travis Kelce.
Bryan Quinn responded with insight into how the Chiefs could be thinking: “How do you go about helping Patrick Mahomes for next season?
“I think you’d have to go with one or two things, to be either looking at protecting him, or you do something that you feel like has an extraordinary talent and skill and Xavier Worthy already has that, [he] is the fastest player in this draft.
“This has to be one of those draft picks or mock drafts where NFL teams say, ‘don’t do it, don’t do it. We already had to deal with Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill.’
“If Xavier Worthy becomes anything close to Tyreek Hill, with Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice based on what he did last year, we don’t want to see an offense that looks like that.”
The Next Tyreek Hill
The combination of Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes was lethal before the former moved to the Miami Dolphins.
If Xavier Worthy can replicate the profile and production of Hill, then NFL teams will be in trouble once again.
Franchises will be praying that the fastest rookie will not be receiving dimes deep downfield from the three-time Super Bowl MVP.
