Kansas City gears up for the 2024 season which could end with the historical ‘three-peat’.

The Chiefs became the first team in 20 years to win successive world titles since the New England Patriots.

An outstanding eight teams in NFL history have won back-to-back Super Bowls.

However, not one of those seven teams was able to win three in a row.

Chiefs on the verge of history

Now, Andy Reid’s Chiefs are in prime position to do so, boasting one of the greatest dynasties in the sport.

The team’s nucleus is being kept together but various players have moved on for bigger paydays.

Marquise Brown has been incentivized to take less money and join the ‘three-peat’ as a free agent.

Nevertheless, the biggest factor that threatens the Chiefs is the rest of the field.

Teams looking to deny the Chiefs

The San Francisco 49ers are odds-on favorites to win Super Bowl LIX and deny the Chiefs.

Upcoming franchises like the Detroit Lions are thirsty to compete in their maiden Super Bowl.

Could the Cincinnati Bengals pose an alarming threat with a healthy Joe Burrow pulling the strings?

Ultimately, teams all across the country are lying in wait to knock the Chiefs off their pedestal.

Kevin Wildes, of the First Things First podcast, believes teams next year will go all in to beat the Chiefs.

On the podcast, he said: “I have one devil’s argument, remember when the Chargers would do wacky stuff to beat the Chiefs?

“Like, ‘we’re gonna go for it on fourth and eight, like let’s go all in to beat the Chiefs, this win will feel like it’s worth more than one win’.

“Same reason the Lions went on to beat the Chiefs early on. I feel teams will play strangely against the Chiefs and go all in.”

Teams will go ‘all in’ to beat the Chiefs

Teams will be desperate to beat the Chiefs next year because a win against them could be a season-defining moment.

Furthermore, the motivation to be victorious over Patrick Mahomes and company could alter a franchise’s season.

Teams will be going ‘all in’ to beat the Chiefs in the regular season, which could have a huge impact on their starting position in the playoffs – assuming they reach the postseason.

Nonetheless, the Chiefs have proved they can go on the road and emerge victorious in the most hostile atmospheres.

Andy Reid will be so focused on making history, they will be prepared physically and mentally for whatever teams may throw at them.
