The Dallas Cowboys have participated in the final session of their two-day OTA camp and one star player is confident he will play a bigger role for the franchise in 2024.
America’s Team, just like all the other franchises, has been undergoing their crucial offseason preparations.
Cowboy Nation will be excited that they can see the 2024 season creeping close with every passing day. Despite not all matters being rosey off the pitch, fans cannot wait for football to return.
CeeDee Lamb continues to show his displeasure with not receiving a new deal
The Dallas Cowboys have been without star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb over the last two days. Moreover, the 25-year-old has taken a similar stance as he did in April for the OTAs and has been a no-show.
Lamb deserves a contract that competes with the very best in the business, and he could withdraw services until he receives one.

Additionally, Micah Parsons has been training away from the team but this is irrelevant to his contract situation.
However, fans will be pleased to see Dak Prescott hitting the training field and preparing for a potential career-defining season.
Dak Prescott has been at every OTA session despite not having a contract extension
There is a worry that Prescott could be made to play out his deal and test free agency in 2025. Nonetheless, yesterday he explained that money is not an issue and he will leave that to his agent.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys’ offseason approach of opting for alternative cheaper rookies has put the team in a cautious position.
Wide receiver Brandin Cooks has said the lack of need to spend in free agency is a ‘compliment’ to him and the team.
America’s Team will look to the veteran to take up more responsibility in 2024 and take the pressure off Lamb.
Brandin Cooks says he is ‘ready to rock’ and to be a bigger influence in 2024
Today, Cooks spoke to the media team on the final day of the current OTAs session.
“Having a season under my belt with Dak, I started slow the first half (last) season, but picked it up. … I’m ready to rock,” the receiver told Cowboys reporter Jon Machota.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m a leader, but at the same time, I’m a playmaker. My mindset, I just look forward to get this season going and hitting that stride like I know I’m capable of.
“I’m gonna go out there and make a lot more plays than I did last year.”
Cooks is excited about the upcoming season and backs himself to deliver by helping Prescott in the passing game.
The Cowboys need a WR3 after Michael Gallup was cut but could look closer to home
Furthermore, with WR3 Michael Gallup being cut to save $9.5 million on the cap, the team does not have an established player to slot in.
Therefore, Michael Thomas has been linked with a free-agency move and Jalon Tolbert could be asked to make the jump.
Ultimately, Lamb and Prescott need help and Cooks want to play a bigger role in his second season with the Cowboys.
