Patrick Mahomes has his eyes set on becoming a history-maker in 2024 but a former Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos defensive back believes he has the most at stake this season.
The Kansas City Chiefs are on the precipices of being the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row, despite the feat being attempted eight times before.
Bill Belichick and Tom Brady were the last head coach-quarterback duo to attempt the illustrious challenge in 2005 but failed.
Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes can go somewhere many other legends failed to go
Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes now have the opportunity to go one step further and cement their names as NFL first-timers.
History will tell you that the Chiefs have the odds stacked against them but this will not affect them in the slightest.

The Chiefs entered the Wildcard round for the first time under Patrick Mahomes, went on the road to Buffalo and Baltimore, and still emerged victorious in the face of adversity.
Moreover, the two-time MVP will be chasing down Tom Brady’s record and would be three rings adrift if victorious in New Orleans.
Mike Florio believes Mahomes will not stop chasing Brady’s all-time record
The 28-year-old will be fixated on becoming the undisputed G.O.A.T despite suggesting he could retire earlier than some people anticipate.
Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio believes the Chiefs signal-caller will not stop if he is within touching distance of Brady’s ring record.
The temptation to sit at the head of the NFL all-time table will be a dream on Mahomes’ mind.
Former cornerback believes Mahomes has the most at stake in 2024
Despite all he has achieved thus far in his young career, one former cornerback Domonique Foxworth believes he has the most at stake in 2024.
On the daytime show Get Up, host Mike Greenberg presented him with the question, who has the most at stake in the NFL next season?
Foxworth swiftly responded: “I think it’s Patrick Mahomes. It’s generation stuff where quarterbacks and players can come around and be considered one of the greatest of all time.
“We know at the end of the day we’re gonna start counting rings and right now he has a team which is a championship contender. This always won’t be true. I think every chance he has to get a Super Bowl championship matters a lot.
“It will matter a lot (this ring) when he tries to make runs later in his career and tries to catch Brady because we know it is in his mind whether he wants to admit it or not.”
Fozworth believes that Mahomes needs to take every opportunity to win a ring with the team he has
Foxworth implies that every year that Mahomes has a championship-contending team he has to take the opportunity.
Not every year will Mahomes have a championship-winning team but it is debatable if he has ever had one.
Furthermore, the six-time Pro Bowler has won successive rings without a top-tier wide receiving core.
Mahomes has the generational talent to elevate other players’ games around him and that is what makes him unique.
Their offseason actions have proved it: the Chiefs cut Marquez Valdes Scanting, allowed Mecole Hardman to hit free agency, and signed Marquise Brown, whilst drafting Xavier Worthy.
In his mind, Mahomes will be eager to close the gap on Tom Brady and he has a great opportunity to do so in 2024.
