The Kansas City Chiefs have been the driving force within the NFL since their first Super Bowl victory under Patrick Mahomes, but FS1 expert Greg Olsen believes they are defying the system put in place by the NFL.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to become the first team to achieve the illustrious three-peat.
Chiefs Kingdom will be unveiling their second successive Super Bowl banner come September 5 to the dislike of many.
NFL expert believes that people are tired of the Chiefs’ continued dominance
Pro Football Talk contributor Myles Simmons recently stated that people are ‘bored’ of the Chiefs’ recent success.
Moreover, the franchise is facing a grueling roadmap if they are to become the greatest NFL dynasty of all time.
They begin their campaign against their biggest AFC threat the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium. The Ravens will be hungry to taste an inkling of revenge after their latest AFC Championship demise.

Furthermore, they are scheduled to face their second biggest AFC challenger Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.
In addition, the Chiefs are scheduled for an early bye in Week 6 and then must play 12 games on the spin to close out the regular season.
To stack the odds further against them, they are the first team to play every day of the week since 1927 throughout the season.
Greg Olsen explains how the Chiefs are working against the NFL to achieve the three-peat
Greg Olsen appeared on the Rich Eisen Show and explained how impressive their repeat is and their potential three-peat.
“They (Chiefs) are doing it in spite of everything that is in place. You are not supposed to win for a long period of time because you are supposed to lose all your good players to free agency,” the former NFL tight end explained in the show.
“You’re not supposed to keep your coordinators because they are going to get head coaches [jobs]… the better you are the more you play all the division winners in your out-of-division games. So, you play a harder schedule. You get more playoff teams. You get the lower draft picks.
“Across the board, everything in the NFL is designed for the very successful teams to fall back to the middle.”
The NFL has been carefully set up to give all teams a chance of Super Bowl success
Olsen alluded to the fact that the NFL has been tailored to give all teams a chance of being successful and leveling the playing field.
Being successive Super Bowl winners, the Chiefs have been forced to choose last in the opening round of the NFL Draft.
Furthermore, their success means teams would be sniffing around for their coaches and star players.
Ultimately, the NFL is ‘designed’ for franchises to close the gaps between one another and provide each team with an equal opportunity.
Brett Veach was forced to address a salary cap issue in the offseason
The Chiefs have already run into a problem with one of the mechanics the NFL implemented to level the playing field – cap space.
General Manager Brett Veach was forced to trade away key defensive star L’Jarius Sneed as the cap could not accommodate his contract demands.
If the Chiefs are to three-peat, they would be breaking the boundaries that the NFL has set up to prevent total dominance in the league.
