Yesterday, the Dallas Cowboys were one of 10 teams that started their mandatory minicamp training and they have given a huge boost for one of their most important players.
America’s Team started their penultimate offseason training program before they are scheduled to depart for their summer break.
Unlike the previous OTAs, this is a mandatory minicamp which means all players are required to be present unless they are pardoned.
The Dallas Cowboys have kicked off minicamp but one star player is missing from the frame
The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the center points in the offseason calendar with one of their star players refusing to show up.
CeeDee Lamb is persistent in his absence because he wants a new contract before he enters the final year of his rookie deal.
The training programs are an excellent opportunity for the veterans to become acquainted with the new rookies and get themselves up to speed before preseason.

Offseason workouts are the first time coaches can gather nuggets of knowledge of the team’s shape and what key areas to address during their endeavors.
The offseason program allows injured 2023 stars an opportunity to take to the field and make their first steps back into the first team.
Trevon Diggs spotted at the Cowboys’ mandatory minicamp after ACL tear in 2023
Trevon Diggs was one of the key absentees from the Cowboys’ 2023 campaign.
The star corner cornerback’s presence was missed after he tore his ACL during 1 on 1 drills in mid-week training.
Diggs endured this season-ending injury after he had signed a five-year $104 million contract extension with the franchise.
The Dallas Cowboys were dealt a major blow early in their campaign but his injury meant players like DaRon Bland and Jourdan Lewis were forced to step up.
Moreover, Bland tied Ken Houston for the most defensive touchdowns in a season and set a new record for the most interceptions returned for scores in a campaign.
The 24-year-old was awarded First-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl Honors during his sophomore season.
Diggs would have watched on proudly as Bland excelled but would have been frustrated that he was forced to man the sideline.
However, Diggs’ rehabilitation has been smooth and there have been no major setbacks.
Diggs hopeful of regaining full fitness by the time the team’s preseason is scheduled
His journey to full fitness has been given a boost as he was on the field practicing during mandatory minicamp but was focusing on regaining his strength in private drills.
Diggs is hopeful that he can return to the first team’s training program before they set off for their preseason in California.
