One of the offseason milestones has been ticked off the agenda as we creep slightly closer to the beginning of the season and Travis Kelce is pumped up.
The Kansas City Chiefs are potentially 10 months away from solidifying their place in NFL folk law if they can win a third ring in a row.
Although they are already a band of legends, they have a chance to be remembered for generations if they can achieve the most unlikely feat in the NFL.
The Chiefs are set to welcome the 2023 MVP on the opening day followed by the Bengals
However, their journey has not been made easy by the NFL backroom. The Chiefs are set to open their 2024 season account against the revenge-seeking Baltimore Ravens, in what should be a blockbuster showdown.
After being able to taste their first Super Bowl since 2012, the Chiefs rolled into M&T Bank Stadium and nullified the MVP Lamar Jackson.

The Maryland-based franchise was left devastated and now they are set to witness the Chiefs unveil their Super Bowl LVIII banner, knowing it could have been them.
Moreover, the NFL has tapped into the 2023 AFC Championship rematch storyline and they could see record-breaking viewing figures.
They are scheduled to kick off the 2024 season on September 5th under the lights at Arrowhead Stadium.
Travis Kelce names the one player he is excited to face against the Ravens
On his New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce explained how he was pumped about playing both the Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals in their opening two games.
Furthermore, the highest-paid tight end in football when on to name one player he is excited to play against.
“Of course, Lamar [Jackson] is one of the most motivated guys in the league and one of the most dangerous quarterbacks to play this game,” Kelce said to his brother Jason on the podcast.
“It will be a fun match-up and I know it is something to get excited for. I think they (Baltimore) are gonna want to come out and show out and start the season on a great note. What way to do it than against one of the best teams in the league.”
Ravens vs Chiefs on the opening day could foreshadow the AFC Championship clash
The Chiefs vs Ravens showdown is one the most highly anticipated opening games in the NFL for years.
Ultimately, it’s two franchises who will see themselves in the AFC Championship and this could just be a dress rehearsal on September 5.
Furthermore, in our 2024 season prediction for the Chiefs, we have Andy Reid and his men avenging their opening-day defeat in 2023 and beating the Ravens to kick-start their season in style.
