The Dallas Cowboys’ front office has ruffled the feathers of the fan base during the offseason but one legend has voiced his support for the process.
Cowboy Nation was anticipating an offseason of true intent by Jerry Jones after his ‘all-in’ comments at the Senior Bowl.
However, the franchise remains one of the lowest spenders in free agency and the team has parted ways with multiple key starters.
Therefore, the team now relies on numerous rookie starters in what is set to be one of the most important seasons in the franchise’s history.
Jerry Jones’ mentality with new contracts has sparked a negative atmosphere in the offseason
Star players Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons are all fishing for new deals but the front office has remained motionless.
Additionally, head coach Mike McCarthy and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer have one year outstanding on their contracts, so their futures remain unclear.
For all the offseason enthusiasm harnessed by the fanbase, their aspirations have plummeted due to the uncertainty surrounding key players.

Free agent acquisitions like Eric Kendricks, Royce Freeman, and Ezekiel Elliott have failed to instill hope in the supporters.
Fans and various NFL media figureheads are starting to lose patience with the 81-year-old owner. The ‘kicking the can down the road’ mentality with the imperative contracts has provoked a toxic response.
DeMarcus Ware accuses fans of not accepting the change they have asked for
However, Cowboys legend DeMarcus Ware has voiced his support for the offseason activity and taken a poke at Cowboy Nation.
“All of the fans for the Dallas Cowboys [have] been asking for change, but when change happens, they can’t accept it,” he stated via the Doomsday Podcast.
“Let’s change the atmosphere with what we have and see where we can go from here. We’re going to get players here and there.
“But at the end of the day, when you have the best 11 working together, they can’t be stopped. It’s not about the highest draft pick or the names that you can add on to it. So, we ask for a lot of change and we’re getting it. Can we accept it?”
The Cowboys legend suggests the front office will make the most of free agency
Ware implies that the front office needs the support of the fans and is showing little enthusiasm despite asking for ‘change’.
Furthermore, the six-time All-Pro for the Cowboys is hopeful that the franchise will make the most of free agency and bring in the required players.
Reports have linked the Cowboys with a move for veteran Michael Thomas and Mike Zimmer could reunite with former player Linval Joseph.
The Cowboys will need to move fast as the remaining talent on the open market will be snapped up swiftly.
