The Las Vegas Raiders are doing everything in their power to try to close the gap on the Chiefs with their latest blockbuster addition.
As the free agency train picks up steam, the Las Vegas Raiders have been inclined to add more coal to the firebox.
Raiders turnover the Chiefs
Last season the Raiders beat the Kansas City Chiefs in their own home at Arrowhead Stadium, 20-14.
Afterward, Maxx Crosby and other teammates were pictured smoking cigars in the wake of their surprising win.
Head coach Antonio Pierce has said they applied the ‘Mahomes Rule’ in the game and it worked.
In a recent interview, Crosby added more fuel to the fire as he said they play ‘fast’ and ‘violent’ whilst looking to ruin Mahomes’ day.
The Sin City franchise is looking to close the AFC West gap on the Super Bowl champions.
Additionally, their latest free agency addition could just be what they need to add more terror to their defense.

The Raiders go all-in
Today, the Raiders have secured the services of DT Christian Wilkins.
After Chris Jones and the Chiefs confirmed their partnership would go on for another five years, Wilkins became the top defensive tackle on the market.
Now the top-tier free agent has agreed on a four-year deal with the Raiders worth $110 million.
Three-time Super Bowl MVP Mahomes will now have to face a hungry defensive line including Crosby and Wilkins.
The two combined for 23.5 sacks in 2023.
Controversial Undisputed host Skip Bayless has taken to X to congratulate the Raiders: “Congrats to Antonio Pierce for signing Christian Wilkins … but man, that’s a lotta money.
“Still, that Raiders’ defensive front just got even stouter and stronger. It’s coming for the head of that KC snake.”
Bayless implies the Raiders have now got their target set on knocking the kings off their throne.
AFC West has got more tense
Wilkins will be one of the highest-paid tackles in the NFL and will be determined to justify his price.
Kansas City will now have to square off against an even stronger Raiders defense.
Although, Andy Reid said after their clash on Christmas Day, the loss served as motivation to go unbeaten to the Super Bowl.
The toxic rivalry of the Chiefs and Raiders has now gone up a notch.
