Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has taken a shot at his Las Vegas Raiders counterpart.
The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day, and haven’t looked back.
The Chiefs refocused and put together a winning run in the playoffs, culiminating with a Super Bowl win.
While the victory was a highlight of the Raiders season, it provided the Chiefs with the motivation to improve, Andy Reid has explained.

Andy Reid takes Raiders dig
Speaking at the NFL Combine, Reid told NBC Sports that the Raiders defeat was crucial to winning the Super Bowl.
Referring to Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, Reid said: “Antonio helped us with that, at the Raiders. He kicked our tail and that helped us refocus and everything.
“Offensively we had ups and downs too many drops too many penalties, I figured if we straightened that out, we would be OK.”
Reid said that the 20-14 loss to the Raiders triggered a mentality shift among the Kansas City players, which he had been waiting for.
He explained: “That was kind of the thing that did it. It was a pretty drastic move, just from the mindset.
“I would say that was the unique part about this team, I always felt like whatever they wanted to do, they could do.
“It was just a matter of getting themselves in that mindset to do.”
Antonio Pierce last week crowed about the way they targeted Patrick Mahomes, believing they have the formula to do so.
However, all they have done is serve up more motivation for Mahomes in the future with his comments, which would have been better off left unspoken.
