The Dallas Cowboys have been keeping tabs on the market and are unmoved to give Dak Prescott an extension but Rich Eisen believes he will earn more from the Cowboys in 2025 than one former finalist.
Jerry Jones has refused to be goaded into giving his franchise quarterback an extension with a record-breaking number being whispered.
The Cowboys could be forced to pay Prescott close to $60 million per year if they want to agree to terms on a fresh deal.
However, there has been no movement thus far, and the 30-year-old could happily test free agency next year to get the money he wants.
Dak Prescott could be on the way out of Dallas in 2025 if Jones does not show him the money
There will be no shortage of suitors and a potential move to the New York Giants is in the realms of possibility.
Prescott is one of four quarterbacks who have been fishing for new deals. Jared Goff and Trevor Lawrence are set for extensions. Tua Tagovailoa is holding out from training but looks good to receive a contract from the Miami Dolphins.

The quarterback price market continues to rise with the flurry of deals and Prescott proceeds to become more expensive.
There is a quarterback in the NFC who will be seeking his first veteran contract in 2025 as he approaches a rookie contract year.
Brock Purdy is searching for a new deal and poses a better playoff record than Prescott
Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy will have one year outstanding on his rookie deal and he looks set to be in line for a mega extension.
The last overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft has been a sensation since filling in for the injured Trey Lance and an underperforming Jimmy Garropolo.
Furthermore, Purdy has guided his team to a pair of NFC Championships and has progressed once to the Super Bowl in 2023.
This is more than Dak Prescott has achieved in the postseason after eight seasons as the Cowboys’ starter.
Rich Eisen convinced Prescott will earn more than Purdy because of the Cowboys’ contract approach
Rich Eisen was asked on his show, ‘Which QB will have the higher average salary in 2025: Dak Prescott or Brock Purdy?’
“Absolutely it’s gonna be Dak Prescott,” he answered on The Rich Eisen Show.
“Before Chris [Brockman] left for the week, we talked about how Purdy is going to wind up the number one paid quarterback in the NFL. I just don’t think he will be [at] the end of the day because Dak [Prescott], when he does become the highest-paid player in the NFL, it will be because Dallas does it so damn late.”
Eisen is convinced that the Cowboys will hold out until after Burdy has been extended and then sign Prescott to a bigger deal.
Figures around the NFL are puzzled at the Cowboys’ front office’s strange contract mentality
This tactic used by the Cowboys has been ridiculed by numerous analysts, as this inevitable price only gets more expensive.
Mike Florio has been left aggravated by Jones not being proactive and signing his key players to deals before the market grows.
Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons all need new deals and this price could be record-braking for all three due to the front office’s delayed approach.
