The Kansas City Chiefs have been the number-one team in the NFL for the past two seasons and one ESPN analyst suggests a franchise that will be judged on how well they play against them.
Patrick Mahomes and the franchise’s reign of dominance has been unshakeable since the 28-year-old took over from Alex Smith as the starter.
The Kansas City Chiefs have been victorious with three Super Bowls in the last five years and they are in with an amazing chance of making history with the ‘three-peat’.
Myles Simmons claims NFL fans are ‘bored’ of the Chiefs’ dominance
Moreover, the Chiefs’ reputation has made them the team to beat and Pro Football Talk host Myles Simmons has suggested NFL fans are bored of their success.
Therefore, the responsibility now rests at the feet of all 31 teams to knock the Chiefs off their golden throne.

Patrick Mahomes has beaten every NFL team in the league and has rarely had consistent trouble against one opponent.
However, the Chiefs legend has been troubled against the Cincinnati Bengals when led by Joe Burrow.
Burrow boasts a 3-1 record against the two-time MVP and the two franchises are level 1-1 in AFC Championship titles during this era.
Yet, they are not the team that will be ‘judged’ upon how they perform against the Chiefs.
Tim Hasselbeck believes the Baltimore Ravens will be remembered for their performances against the Chiefs
NFL expert Tim Hasselbeck believed the Baltimore Ravens players’ legacies will be determined by their performances against the Chiefs.
“Can u control the game against Kansas City? The way you have a habit of doing against lesser teams,” he explained via NFL on ESPN.
“Ultimately, [that’s] how Lamar (Jackson) is gonna be judged, and how this era of Baltimore Ravens teams are gonna be judged, is how they play against the Kansas City Chiefs.”
Ravens were left distraught after their AFC Championship loss in the playoffs
In January 2024, the Ravens’ dream was crushed by the Chiefs in the AFC Championship showdown. Expectations were sky-high as the franchise qualified for the postseason as the number one seed.
Furthermore, they had a home-field advantage and the Chiefs would have experienced fatigue entering the playoffs in the Wildcard Round.
The two franchises are scheduled to open the 2024 season at Arrowhead Stadium. Bitterly, the Ravens will have to watch their AFC rival unveil their Super Bowl banner but have the chance to get some revenge on September 5.
Ultimately, the Ravens need to get a victory over the Chiefs as their legacies will be determined by their performances.
