The Kansas City Chiefs will be the team to beat in the upcoming season and one NFL expert believes the man who has transformed the franchise has the biggest target on his head in 2024.
Patrick Mahomes is one of those quarterbacks that Chiefs fans adore as he is on their roster but would be pulling their hair out if the three-time Super Bowl MVP played against them.
Since becoming the starting quarterback for the franchise in 2018, he has been the most consistent and talented player in the NFL.
Mahomes has reached a rare feat that Brady did not achieve until 37-years-old
Moreover, after winning three Super Bowl rings, three finals MVPs, and two regular season MVPs, this is a combination that the great Tom Brady did not reach until age 37.
He has revolutionized the quarterback position with his dual-threat when running and passing the ball.
By age 28, with plenty of years left at the top of his game, Mahomes has already reached the pinnacle of football and has secured mentions in the talks of being one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.

NFL expert believes fans are ‘sick’ and ‘tired’ of Mahomes’ success
On Pro Football Talk, Mike Florio entertained a segment that narrowed in on who the public enemies in football are.
Fellow show host Myles Simmons felt the ‘obvious choice’ was Patrick Mahomes.
“He’s (Mahomes) has made the Chiefs so good, and he is so good, and now it’s gone from, ‘What a great story, Patrick Mahomes is so good’, to, ‘I’m so sick of Patrick Mahomes, I’m sick of the Chiefs, I’m tired of the Chiefs’. That’s what makes him a public enemy,” Simmons said via Pro Football Talk.
Simmons implies, just like with all great stars, Mahomes is a victim of his own success and other fans have become bored.
Now, with a three-peat on the horizon, the franchise sits at the top of the pile and will have to fend off other hungry teams.
The Las Vegas Raiders already made Mahomes their number-one enemy in 2023
Last year, the Las Vegas Raiders already made Mahomes their enemy when they devised their entire game plan around the signal-caller.
Their tactical plan was dubbed ‘The Mahomes rule’, which involved getting to their Chiefs QB and roughing him up with sacks and pressures.
It worked on Christmas day with the Raiders winning 20-14 and Mahomes threw an interception whilst being sacked four times.
Defensive edge Maxx Crosby stated the team plays ‘with ill-intent’ and in a ‘violent’ manner, highlighting their intention for their enemy Mahomes.
