The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has already reached the pinnacle of the NFL but has another achievement on his mind.
Patrick Mahomes has won three Super Bowl titles, three Super Bowl MVPs, and two regular-season MVP awards.
This rare combination he achieved in February was only achieved by legends Tom Brady and Joe Montana at the ages of 37 and 34 respectively.
Mahomes already sits amongst the NFL greats at the age of 28
Mahomes has already joined the elite quarterbacks at the relatively young age of 28.
The G.O.A.T Tom Brady did not retire until the age of 44.
Moreover, this shows that Mahomes has plenty of years left in the tank and has time to smash countless records.
There is one feat that Mahomes is on the cusp of reaching but needs to beat one team to do so.
So, who is the only team that Mahomes has not defeated in the regular season?
Mahomes has one team left to defeat in the regular season
The only team left to conquer in the regular season for Mahomes is the AFC South’s Indianapolis Colts.
Since Mahomes was established as the Chiefs starter in 2018, the two franchises have met twice.
The first time Mahomes squared off against the Colts he succumbed to a close defeat 19-13.
Subsequently, the second time they met in the regular season; the Colts were victorious 20-17.
Matt Ryan managed to lead a final drive which was capped off by a 12-yard touchdown pass with 24 seconds left on the clock.
Ultimately, the Chiefs’ defeat was sealed when Mahomes through an interception with 2 seconds left.

Kansas City have met the Colts in the 2018 playoffs and were victorious 31-13.
Unfortunately, the Chiefs are not scheduled to play the Colts in the 2024 regular season.

Of course, if Mahomes ever left the Chiefs then he could defeat all 32 teams in the NFL.
