On occasions the Dallas Cowboys offseason has stolen the headlines, whether it’s their lack of movement in free agency, their statements regarding key player contracts, or if one of their superstars is holding out of the OTAs to leverage a new deal.
America’s Team, especially the fan base, has experienced a very turbulent offseason which started as an ‘all in’ spectacle but has failed to live up to expectations.
Now, the fans will be excited to see how the new rookies adapt to the NFL world with their minicamp fast approaching.
Micah Parson has been spending the offseason with best friend C.J Stroud
One of the Cowboys’ key starters, who has been active during the offseason, is hybrid defensive lineman Micah Parsons.
After their season ended disastrously with an early playoff exit, Parsons was playing in the celebrity NBA All-Star game with his best friend C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans.
Furthermore, the 24-year-old has been a no-show at the franchise’s OTAs because he has been focusing on his own workout routine.

A video then surfaced of Parsons exchanging pain endurance test punches with a sparring partner which fans had mixed reactions towards.
Most recently, the two NFL stars have been in Asia globalizing the sport of American football.
Moreover, they have been teaching young people how to play while hosting multiple practice sessions.
In Japan, the Cowboys’ defensive star was videoed squaring off against a traditional Sumo wrestler.
Parsons won in the light-hearted dual of the two sports stars.
As a result of the traveling, Parsons has been missing team workouts and Mike Florio has questioned how comfortable the front office is with the player.
Mike Florio is not amused by Micah Parsons’ risky antics during the offseason
On Pro Football Talk, the presenter stated: “It’s all fun until the injury happens… I have to wonder if the Cowboys are comfortable with it [Parsons’ offseason behavior].
“From Micah’s (Parsons) perspective, as you’ve (Chris Simms) have said, ‘Don’t set foot on a field until you get your contract’. That dovetails with my concern that [if] you blow out patella tendon pushing against [a] giant sumo wrestler, you’re never getting your contract.”
The defensive end is eligible for a new contract as he enters the fourth year of his rookie deal.
Stephen Jones has stated they are keen on giving him a new deal but they have activated his fifth-year option as a first-rounder.
Florio expressed a level of concern that the defensive player could endure a serious injury with the stunts he has been pulling.
Nonetheless, it is at the player’s discretion as to what he chooses to do during the offseason; the team can only advise.
