It would not be a normal day for controversial USA sports personality, Skip Bayless, if he did not have a slight bone to pick with the Dallas Cowboys or their players.
In the most recent edition of the 2024 NBA Celebrity All-Star game, Team Shannon Sharpe coached his team to victory over Stephen A. Smith’s side.
Parsons earns MVP
Dallas Cowboys defensive star, Micah Parsons, shinned as he registered 37 points and 16 rebounds, guiding his team of celebrities to a 100-91 win. The 24-year-old used his robust build of standing 6 foot 3 and weighing 111kg to his sporting advantage.
The 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Years’ performance rewarded him the MVP award for the All-Star game.
Understandably proud of being presented with the trophy, Parsons jokingly celebrated with the ironic award.
With the Cowboys bowing out in the playoffs to the unlikely Green Bay Packers only weeks before, the linebacker’s antics in the celebrity All-Star game did not go down well with Skip Bayless, with the bitter taste of defeat still as sour weeks later.
The well-known Dallas Cowboy fan is never one to shy away from expressing his feelings no matter how bizarre they may seem.
Bayless was quick to mention the Cowboys shocking defeat when commenting on Parsons: “I still haven’t got over what I had to watch in their playoff game, as the two seed.
“They are down 27 to nothing at half-time, they are down 48-16 early in the fourth quarter at home.
“Micah Parsons in that game had the single worse defensive stats of his entire career in a playoff game at home.
“And now I’m supposed to stomach the fact that I have to watch him in Indianapolis, gloat and flex because he is dominating the celebrity All-Star game against a bunch of actors, singers and race car drivers.”
‘Shameful’ says Skip
Bayless on Undisputed ripped into Micah Parsons for his audacity to even celebrate with the MVP award.
The TV personality even went as far to label his teams’ player “shameful” and that “better than this”.
Bayless could not even comprehend the idea of competing in the light-hearted celebrity contest.
“He’s actually enjoying the achievement of winning and flexing like he’s actually accomplished something. It was shameful for me. It’s the wrong place, wrong time.
“I’m talking about pride, who are you and what are you doing? Not just for health reasons, you are better than this. It was silly, it was shameful, it was pathetic, it was everything that was wrong with Micah. Do you really want that kind of attention, is that what you want?”.
It was not too long ago that Parsons called out Bayless on X in a fiery paragraph back in January: “You just a hating ass mf who mad I ain’t want to do your show?!
“Where was all this when you were on my nuts wanting me to come on your show every Tuesday!! You lame asf skip real ____ fake ___ Cowboys fan!!”
As we can see, these two rarely have seen eye to eye and do not hold back with saying what they truly think.
What will be the next argument in the Parsons and Bayless relationship, we will not have to wait too long I am sure.
