You must be living under a rock to not realize the Dallas Cowboys are in a predicament regarding Dak Prescott’s contract.

Jerry Jones was quoted saying multiple times that the Cowboys will be ‘going all in’ during the NFL offseason.

What could that entail?

Much of the rumored speculation is that Jones will be extending Dak Prescott to a lucrative extension, with whispers of a $60 million contract on the table.

What does ‘All in’ mean when it comes to Dak Prescott

‘All in’ is also believed to be Jones’ way of suggesting America’s Team will exploit the free agency market and add much-needed superstar talent to the roster.

‘All in’ has been perceived to be the idea the Dallas Cowboys are prepared to throw everything at spearheading a Super Bowl run in 2024.

However, ‘all in’ has been described as a ‘ruse’ according to veteran Cowboys reporter Mike Fisher.

The 2024 NFL Combine has come and gone, while the rookies showcasing their talent is the most important purpose of the event, coaches, general managers, and other figures conjugate at the scene.

As a result, there are many rumors which circulate as journalists and reporters probe their sources for significant information.

Rich Eisen attended the Combine in Indianapolis and stumbled across talk from reliable sources.

One of the key conversations Eisen had surrounded Jerry Jones’ ‘all in’ comments.

‘Eat the cap hit’

The host claimed on his show that he knows the true definition of ‘all in’ said by Jones: “I heard from multiple sources, his (Jones) definition of all in is to make Dak play out his walk year and not extend him at all.

“And just eat the cap hit. And the free agents that they might go get aren’t the big-name guys that you think because they won’t be able to afford them.”

Eisen implies that Jones is willing to accept Prescott’s enormous cap hit this year and have less money to invest in free agency talent.

Eisen went on to explain what the thought process is behind the rumored decision: “He means ‘Hey Dak you haven’t won a playoff game except, you know, a couple around here.

“Last year was so dreadful. I’m gonna make you play it out.

“And I’ll eat the 59 near 60 million bucks and if you do what I hope you do, hold me over a barrel. I was just gobsmacked when I heard that.

“I think this is the answer, this is what he means by going all in.”

Another twist to Dak Prescott future

If true, the Cowboys may be in for a big shock.

All the potential ideas about ‘all in’ will be completely blown out of the water if this becomes reality.

Dak Prescott’s contract, if it is to be extended, will be sorted very soon to make sure they are cap-compliant. NFL fans will find out very soon what the true idea of ‘all in’ is.
