The Kansas City Chiefs have started their early preparations for the 2024 season and are eager for former injured stars to return in 2024.
Kansas City is building up to the most highly anticipated season in decades as they are the latest team to attempt the three-peat.
The infamous feat has never been achieved in the NFL, with the most recent chance dating back to the New England Patriots in 2005.
Ultimately, the NFL offseason is the time of reflection on the recent campaign and team’s strive to add players to their rosters to progress.
The Chiefs add fresh faces to their roster core before their three-peat campaign
The initial rush of free agency can be a hectic time as teams battle over players’ signatures. The Chiefs did not hesitate and penned the dynamic Marquise Brown to a one-year deal to add a new element to the offense.
Soon after was the NFL Draft, the precious moment when college graduates’ dreams of playing in the NFL were fulfilled.
The Chiefs have added various rookies across the board but it is not only new faces which are pivatol during the offseason.

Furthermore, the Kansas City Chiefs will be looking to their injured stars of 2023 to make big comebacks.
The franchise will be monitoring their injured players and looks to get them back healthy and on the field before the opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
Andy Reid will need his roster in the best shape it can be before they embark on their shot at history-making glory.
Nazeeh Johnson suffers an ACL tear and is joined by another teammate six months later
Nazeeh Johnson, the Chiefs defensive back, suffered a nasty ACL tear during their 2023 preseason training camp.
As a result, he was forced to miss their second consecutive ring-winning season and embrace his rehabilitation.
The defensive star has been undergoing his rehab alongside Charles Omenihu who also suffered an ACL rupture. However, the defensive edge endured his injury in the AFC Championship clash against the Ravens.
During the contest, arguably the most important play of his Chiefs career, he stripped-sacked Lamar Jackson moments before his injury.
Johnson explains how Omenihu is trying to speed up his recovery in the offseason
Omenihu is months behind Johnson on the road to recovery but has been trying to speed up his progress, according to the safety.
“When he first tore it [ACL] he called me and I was telling him how things go, like keep your head up and everything,” Johnson explained via the how bout those Chiefs podcast.
“He’s looking at what I’m doing now and thinking he can do that now, and I’m like, ‘Bro you gotta calm down a little bit’. But he’s actually doing really well, he’s actually ahead of his time.”
Johnson has warned Omenihu to take it slow but he is ahead of schedule
Johnson has been keeping a close eye on Omenihu and has been realistic to his teammate about not rushing the process.
Nonetheless, the edge rusher is on course to return quicker than anticipated.
On X, the key piece of Steve Spagunolo’s defense hinted that he could be involved in practice by mid-August.
Omenihu will be hopeful that he could return to full practice by the time the Chiefs are scheduled for preseason.
