The Kansas City Chiefs have only one thing on their minds for the 2024 season: winning the three-peat.
Coming off a victorious year, the franchise has done all it can to keep its main stars on the team and has added reinforcements, mainly offensive, to give a new face to the passing game.
There’s a lot of pressure involved this season. Kansas City can make NFL history, cement its dynasty and put Patrick Mahomes one step closer to the title of best quarterback of all time.
All this in the midst of a tough schedule.

Tom Brady has an opinion on the Chiefs
In an exclusive interview on the “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” this past Monday, Tom Brady was asked how it worked to go to a camp during his time as a player just after winning a title and whether there was a kind of “Super Bowl Hangover”.
The former quarterback ended up naturally bringing the Chiefs’ momentum into his explanation.
“Even when you look at the way the Chiefs won the Super Bowl last year against the 49ers, it was an incredible comeback, so to speak. They played really well at the end and the margin of error was razor-thin,” said.
Brady then recalled the best team he played with in the New England Patriots and the defeat to the New York Giants in 2007.
“That’s the way it’s going to be this year as well. It’s very rare. I played on an undefeated team. We were one of the best teams, I think, in the history of football in 2007. We go to the Super Bowl, we played less than our best game. The Giants played an awesome game and they ended up beating us. All of these teams in the NFL are very competitive, they’re all well-coached. The margin for error is razor-thin.
NFL GOAT analyses chance of KC winning third title in a row
TB12 has always been a brilliant mind – his game readings are unrivalled.
He, while not doubting the ability of Baby GOAT and co, seems a little wary of the three-peat.
“So, to win one Super Bowl is extremely difficult. To win two back-to-back, what the Chiefs have done, as we know in the history of the sport, is nearly impossible. To win three in a row, there’s a reason why no one’s done it.”
“To put three of those together, in back-to-back-to-back seasons, with drafting last, a very hard schedule, all of the turnover in free agency and guys continuing to be motivated, it’s a big challenge,” Brady added.
FOX’s new analyst understands why everyone is putting the Chiefs at the top of their list, but for him the probability of winning a third title is less than 50 per cent.
“That’s not to say the Chiefs couldn’t accomplish that. Believe me, everybody would probably put them as one of the odds-on favorites to do it. Even then, there’s not a 50 percent chance of that happening. They’re way less than that. Those players are going to show up every day, they’re going to have to put in the work like they have.”
Brady appreciates the importance of Andy Reid’s role in this journey
Although Brady is a bit skeptical about KC’s 2024, he values Andy Reid’s experience and is sure that the head coach won’t make it easy for his opponents.
“They have a tremendous coach in Andy Reid, who doesn’t ever look backward,” claimed. “He’s not going to say, ‘Hey, because we were great last year, we’re going to be great again this year.’ He’s a veteran, experienced, championship-level coach who holds those guys accountable.”
The GOAT ended his analysis by praising the Chiefs’ players and coaches, who keep the team among the elite of NFL teams.
“They’ve got a great quarterback in Patrick, who, as we know, when he’s on the field, he’s as great a football player as there is in the NFL. Travis Kelce, what he can do at the tight end position, is really a great safety blanket. Rashee Rice came on as a rookie. [They’ve got] Chris Jones [back]. They’ve got [Steve] Spagnuolo back there as a defensive coordinator.”
Tom Brady’s voice carries a lot of weight, but the mentality of Reid’s squad is locked-in on making their dynasty official in the history of the sport.
