Patrick Mahomes is already considered one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all time. Yet he still trails behind Tom Brady, the GOAT.

Tom Brady played a total of 23 seasons in the league, mostly with the New England Patriots and the last three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady threw for 89,214 yards and 649 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 15 Pro Bowls. He won 1 Comeback Player of the Year award, 2 Offensive Player of the Year awards, 3 MVP awards, 5 Super Bowl MVP awards and 7 championships.

Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, is at the peak of his career. At 28 and seven years in the league, he has thrown for 28,424 yards and 219 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 5 Pro Bowls. He has won one Offensive Player of the Year award, two MVP awards, three Super Bowl MVP awards and three championships.

The defending champion has huge potential to overtake TB12 and become the GOAT.

Tom Brady was the only QB to beat Mahomes in a Super Bowl

Brady’s last title came against Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs. The Bucs won Super Bowl LV 31-9.

The former signal-caller was 43 at the time. This means that if the Baby Goat wants to achieve the longevity of the NFL legend, he needs to play until 2039.

There’s mutual respect between the quarterbacks. Mahomes grew up watching Brady win everything, until he arrived in the league and the superstar kept winning.

Now it’s the No. 15’s turn, and he’s making the most of his opportunities.

Brady often gives Pat Mahomes advice

On the Pat McAfee show, Chiefs’ quarterback revealed that he talks to Brady from time to time and gets some valuable advice.

“We do talk a little bit, he’s always kind of give me some advice here and there,” claimed. “He’s not to tell me all of the secrets, but he said that he’s even, I remember back today to the AFC Championship game that they beat us, he game me some advice in the locker room after that.”

Mahomes joked about the title he lost to the veteran, but added that he admires everything Brady has done and still does for the youngsters and for the NFL: “I’m glad that he was able to go out there and win those Super Bowls, except for the one against me, and really just show off what hard work and dedication can really do and it’s taught me a ton, I gotta continue to get better and better.”

“When I do reach out for advice he’s willing to give that, and I think he’s gonna make a great impact on the game, calling games and then at the same time giving advice to young players.”
