During the NFL offseason, the Dallas Cowboys said goodbye to their 2020 rookie Tyler Biadasz.
The Centre’s fifth-year option on his rookie deal was not activated and ultimately hit free agency.
Overall, Biadasz possessed a healthy record and was consistent during his four seasons as a Cowboy.
The only notable injury the center suffered was a hamstring injury and only played 12 games in his rookie year – starting four of those.
Biadasz imperative to the O-Line
In 2021, the 26-year-old started and played all 17 games becoming the heartbeat of the Cowboys’ offensive line.
He then played started and played 16 games in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
In addition, his performances in 2023 earned him a Pro Bowl selection.
Now, America’s Team have lost a crucial foundation to their offensive line and there is now a huge void to be filled.

Biadasz joins up with the former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.
Quinn joined the Washington Commanders as their new head coach and they parted ways with Ron Rivera.
One of his key additions was the free-agent signing of Biadasz.
Moreover, the former Cowboy joins the Commanders on a three-year deal worth up to $30 million.
Bayless says there is no ‘plan B’
Centers that perform consistently and produce to the level Biadasz has done are like gold dust in the NFL.
The exodus of players continues to grow in Dallas and there are many gaping holes on both sides of the ball.
Skip Bayless was left frustrated at the departure of the center on Undisputed.
The presenter said: “We’ve lost Tyler Biadasz who was our Jason Kelce. I’m not saying he is as good as Jason Kelce but he was pretty good.
“Highly graded. Highly regarded… we don’t have plan B, well not on the roster.”
The comparison to Kelce is a testament to the output the Wisconsin native has had on the Cowboys.
Cowboys looking for a cheaper rookie?
Bayless believes that the Cowboys are destined to have a rookie starter fulfilling the center role.
Historically, the Cowboys are one of, if not, the best drafting franchise in the NFL.
They will back themselves to identify a high-ceiling ball snapper in the upcoming draft.
However, if Bayless’ idea comes to fruition, Biadasz only started four games in his rookie season, so the rookie would be taking on monumental responsibility.
With there being no news of a center being pinched from free agency, all eyes will be focused on finding a gem in April.
