Two days have passed since the opening of the ‘legal tampering’ window and the Dallas Cowboys are not anywhere nearer to solving their running game problems.
All the big names in the free agency running back bracket have all signed deals with new franchises.
Aaron Jones and Derrick Henry were the latest rushers to fall through the Cowboys’ grasp.
Cowboys nation had high hopes approaching free agency.
Dallas Cowboys start free agency slow
Owner, President and general manager Jerry Jones said the franchise will be ‘all in’ during the offseason at the Senior Bowl.
However, this could not be further from the truth if ‘all in’ referred to free agency.

The Cowboys have made no significant moves, albeit the resigning of long-snapper Trent Sieg.
A report emerged yesterday that the Cowboys refused to make noteworthy signings because they are operating on a specific budget.
Apparently, this was the sole reason why the Cowboys passed on the chance to make Zack Moss their starting running back.
Moss proceeded to put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the AFC’s Cincinnati Bengals.
Fans of the Cowboys seem disillusioned from the team’s deafening inactivity in the offseason.
The fanbase has taken to social media to show their disappointment with the front office.
Dowdle takes the brunt
Starting running back Tony Pollard has moved to Nashville on a three-year deal, as it stands Rico Dowdle is the starter.
Dowdle has endured an injury-plagued career so far but finally had his first progressive season behind Pollard.
The 25-year-old rushed for 361 yards and two touchdowns.
Nevertheless, it would be unwise to give Dowdle the reps a starter would receive as this is unchartered territory.
Some fans have voiced this opinion on social media, maybe too harshly.
The 2020 undrafted rookie posted on X saying: “Why yall hate me what I do wrong.”
Many fans responded positively and expressed their encouragement.
@ItsJalen responded with: “Nothing dude you played great in limited carries last season.”
Further comments referenced the fact the franchise needs depth and a rusher who could transform the ground game.
Fans may have been targeting their frustration at Dowdle but it seems the Jones’ are the real problem in their eyes.
