The Kansas City Chiefs have been riding high during the offseason, after progressive additions through free agency and the NFL Draft, but the plot continues to thicken with Rashee Rice.

Expectations were sky-high for Rice, who is about to enter his sophomore campaign, after having the best rookie year for a wide receiver under Andy Reid.

Many analysts tipped the 24-year-old to become the Chiefs WR1 in their adventurous ‘three-peat’ season.

However, Patrick Mahomes is already set to lose one of his main targets with a lengthy season ban.

Rashee Rice problems

In late March, Rice was involved in a multi-vehicle high-speed incident. He is set to face numerous charges – and also faces the prospect of a NFL ban.

Unfortunately, weeks after the initial incident, Rice now has a new investigation opened up into him.

Per the Dallas Morning News, Law enforcement informed the media that Rice was suspected of assaulting a person at a nightclub on Monday.

Although this is just an investigation, Rice is now shifted back into the spotlight and his image takes a further blow.

The topic of conversation surfaced on the daytime show, regarding the recent nightclub incident.

“This just complicates things. It’s not charged yet but it just puts more focus on the existing chargers,”, Mike Florio stated about the new investigation.

“This is the advice I would give Rice… and this was my dad’s attitude. It doesn’t matter if you were right… even if it’s not your fault. You put yourself in a spot where someone can claim you did something you shouldn’t have done. That’s bad enough!

“So, when you already have eight felony charges pending against you, what are you doing putting yourself in a position where you can be credibly accused of doing something you shouldn’t have done?

“That’s the problem here! That’s the grown-up conversation someone needs to have with Rashee Rice going forward.”

Florio implies that someone needs to have a serious sit down with the Chiefs star and give him a reality check.

As it stands, the future of his NFL career is unclear and the NFL is set to issue a very serious punishment.

Furthermore, to then get involved in another situation is only pouring petrol on the already blazing fire.
