Rashee Rice now faces eight charges and is currently out on bail after a warrant for his arrest was issued.

The 23-year-old had one of the best rookie wide receiver seasons in Chief’s history.

NFL expert Nick Wright believed he would be Patrick Mahomes’ number-one wide receiver in 2024.

Now, all that promise has been thrown into disarray after this latest incident.

The NFL offseason is the period where the players relax before the mandatory training camps begin on July 22nd (Chiefs start date).

However, with the possibility of facing criminal charges, Rice may not be able to attend.

‘Hammer Rashee Rice’… NFL experts encourage the NFL to make an example

On Pro Football Talk, Mike Florio and Chris Simms discussed how the NFL should approach the Rice situation.

Both were in agreement that they needed to make an example of the Chiefs star to deter any other player from doing something similar.

Mike Florio stated, “Every team needs to show that video to their players, at a minimum as they’re leaving. Do it now and when they are leaving the offseason program.

“You do something like this, they [NFL]are gonna make an example of you. The NFL needs to hammer Rashee Rice now. Do it now! To send the loudest possible message.”

Florio and Simms suggested that franchises show the incident video of Rice to their players.

This way they can send a clear message and hopefully discourage players from finding themselves in a similar scenario.

Mike Florio left angry over Clark Hunt’s silence of the incident

Furthermore, Florio slammed the Chiefs for their deafening silence over the incident.

Specifically, calling out owner Clark Hunt for his lack of acknowledgment of the dangerous incident involving his player.

This could have serious ramifications and the possibility of never playing again could be on the cards.

The Chiefs are looking to win three successive Super Bowl rings this year and Rice is due to play a huge role in that.

Nevertheless, the incident could take a while to be fully resolved as the law is a delicate process.
