Chiefs Kingdom was given another reason to be excited for the upcoming 2024 season as they are set to play the heartbroken Baltimore Ravens in what will be a tasty affair.

The Kansas City Chiefs are already itching for the season to begin because they have a Super Bowl to defend. Moreover, they can become the first team ever to achieve the illustrious ‘threepeat’. One of the last remaining epic feats that is waiting to be conquered in the sporting world.

For some fans, the season cannot come around quickly enough after the main rush of free agency has passed and the offseason chapter of the NFL Draft has been closed.

The Ravens are set to visit the Chiefs with the full schedule being released today

Tomorrow another offseason landmark will be reached when the NFL schedule for the 2024 season is fully released.

Analysts, pundits, and fans love to speculate but their predictions have been brought to an end. FS1 expert Nick Wright, alongside multiple others, had tipped that the Houston Texans would play the Chiefs.

However, the Arrowhead faithful will be generating a hostile atmosphere in a 2024 AFC Championship rematch against the Ravens.

Patrick Mahomes and his offense will be kicking off their three-peat hunt against one of the toughest opponents on their schedule.

NFL expert says the Ravens ‘jumped off the page’ to be the Chiefs opening opponent

Mike Florio said the Ravens were the team that ‘jumped off the page’ when analyzing who could travel to Missouri on September 5th.

Before the conclusion of the season, the NFL releases the opponents for the following campaign home and away.

Therefore, the Ravens were a standout choice, alongside the Texans, to visit the Chiefs in the 2024 season opener.

Mike Florio believes the Texas heard ‘good news’ when the Ravens were announced

Moreover, Mike Florio has implied the Texans have dodged a bullet by not drawing the Chiefs.

“It’s good news for the Texans. With how their schedule is constructed, especially early on, may go a long way in determining which way your season goes. They don’t have to deal with that, the Ravens have to deal with it,” Florio said via Pro Football Talk.

The Pro Football Talk presenter suggested the Texans avoiding the Chiefs early on can allow them to find their feet in the new season.

Additionally, C.J. Stroud and his team are expected to be dark horses in the season, and suffering an early setback to the Chiefs could be a heavy blow.

Now, the Texans can potentially have gathered form in the 2024 season before going on the road to the Chiefs.
