Michael Irvin may be using his presence at the NFL Combine to try to secure some rookies for the Dallas Cowboys.
The NFL Combine has officially concluded with the final showcase being the offensive linemen on Sunday.
Various franchise leaders and coaches were present to analyze this year’s prospects in the hope of executing a first-class draft in April.
The Dallas Cowboys are in a crucial offseason where their fans are desperate to be rewarded with a Super Bowl trophy.
Historically, America’s Team has been exceptional when it comes to the draft.

Dallas Cowboys draft success
Most notably, the draft selections made with the picks from the Herschel Walker trade were executed to perfection.
In more recent times, CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons were both first-round picks in the 2020 and 2021 NFL Draft respectively.
Both players are now considered to be one of the best in their position – excellent picks.
Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin has been present at the recent NFL Combine.
The 57-year-old was a member of the greatest Cowboys dynasty, who won three Super Bowl rings in four years.
The legend still has a fantastic relationship with the franchise and has been taking to social media to have his say on what rookie they should select.
Keon Coleman praised by Michael Irvin
Rookie Keon Coleman posted a video with the Hall of Famer and the former Cowboy wanted him at AT&T Stadium: “My boy (CeeDee Lamb) said, who y’all see me messing along all the time with, told me to make sure I look in on him (Coleman).
“Jerry Jones, you know this is CeeDee Lamb’s cousin… how great would it be two cousins catching passes for the Dallas Cowboys?
“We need a big receiver like this, he would look so good with a star on his helmet.
“Come on Jerry Jones, y’all stop messing around, this is what we need right here.”
Irvin was adamant on the social media post that Jerry Jones needed to draft Coleman.
A wide receiver cousin duo could be an unstoppable force.
However, there might not be too much competition to draft the rookie. Coleman is ranked as the 23rd-best wide receiver and is labeled as ‘an eventual starter’ according to Next Gen Stats.
Keon Coleman 40 time
Additionally, the rookie out of Florida State produced a slow 4.6 second 40-yard dash time – a further deterrent for some teams.
On the contrary, Coleman reached the fastest speed by any receiver in the gauntlet drill for the past two years.
A mixed bag of results at the Combine but if Irvin wants him, it could be for good reason.
In April, we will find out if he will be sporting the blue star alongside his cousin.
