The Kansas City Chiefs are on the hunt for the dreamy ‘three-peat’ in 2024 and have not kept their wishes private.
Steve Spagnuolo said Patrick Mahomes mentioned on the field in Las Vegas, that winning a third in a row is the goal.
Since Mecole Hardman secured the game-winning touchdown it has been in the the forefront of their minds.
Even if it is meant to be the relaxing offseason, they are still hungry.
Three rings in a row are waiting
They can do what no franchise has done in NFL history – win three rings in succession.
The fact this has never been achieved, makes this one of the greatest feats in sporting history waiting to be conquered.

Nonetheless, franchises will be looking to knock the Chiefs off their throne.
Multiple teams will be hoping to reach the promised land in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
The chances of the Chiefs completing the ‘three-peat’ was the subject of debate on the show Speak.
The question was proposed, are you betting with the Chiefs or the field?
LeSean McCoy cannot look past the Chiefs
LeSean McCoy had a short but sweet answer: “If for what any reason Patrick Mahomes is there, I am betting with them boys.”
Presenter Joy Taylor could not disagree with McCoy’s thinking: “They just keep winning.
“When you’re in the middle of a dynasty it is just easier to pick them, imagine picking against them all season long and they ‘three-peat’. I forbid it. I can’t do it I gotta go with them.”
However, Ric Bucher could not agree with the thinking because it has never been done before: “Doing it twice is not the same as doing it three times.
“We’ve seen teams and dynasties do two times, we’ve seen them do it three out of four times. We’ve seen that but we haven’t seen it three times in a row, which is why I will take the field.”
‘Attrition’ will hurt the Chiefs’ chances
Bucher also mentioned the idea of ‘attrition’.
Kansas City has played eight games more than some other franchises and will feel the effects on their bodies of those extra games in 2024.
James Jones, former Super Bowl winner with the Green Bay Packers, refused to take the field.
He could not ignore that the Chiefs won the Super Bowl with the worst regular season under Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.
Jones explains Chief strengths
Jones explained his viewpoint, saying: “Andy Reid and Paddy Mahomes have shown us they will be in this game at our worst.
“Then what do they do in the offseason, they get MVS out of there and you bring in a much better player in Hollywood Brown to stretch the field and you’re getting Rashee Rice in year number two.
“With Pacheco in the backfield, the way they play defense, Ric change your answer, don’t go with the field, go with Paddy Mahomes and the Chiefs.”
Ultimately, this debate with circle around up until the 2024 season opener.
Who do you think will be raising the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2025, the Chiefs or the field?
