Dak Prescott’s contract situation still looms over the heads of the Dallas Cowboy’s executives and they seemed to have come up with an unexpected plan of action.

The franchise quarterback is entering his final year on his current deal and if a new deal is not agreed upon, in one year he will be hitting the free agency market.

The eight-year veteran has come off his best numbers season since sporting the blue star.

Jerry Jones now has a decision to make.

Prescott swallows up a gigantic $59 million on the cap this year.

No new deal rumored

Expectations were to tie down the MVP runner-up to a new long-term deal and then restructure the contract to ease the blow on the cap.

The thought process of many journalists and fans, when considering his production in the regular season.

However, the owner is seemingly growing impatient with their lack of playoff success.

Troy Aikman led the Cowboys to their last NFC Championship game and Super Bowl back in 1995.

The Dallas Cowboys are the most expensive sports team in the world and have very little to show in nearly 30 years.

The 81-year-old has reportedly made a call that will catch many people off guard, including Dak Prescott himself.

Dak was ‘confident’

At a recent charity fundraiser, the quarterback was quoted to have claimed he was ‘confident’ about striking an agreement on a new deal.

According to Rich Eisen, the Cowboys owner will not be offering Prescott a new deal.

At the NFL Combine, the whispers were that the franchise would succumb to the massive cap hit and say this is your last shot or you are out essentially.

Skip Bayless is certainly not a fan of Prescott leading his beloved Cowboys.

Saying recently, it would be ‘misery for the next four years’ if the 30-year-old receives a new deal.

‘Go Jerry go’

The Undisputed host loved the idea that Jerry Jones had planned: “I love this strategy, Jerry is being ‘all in’ by being ‘all out’.

“Go Jerry go. This is music to my ears.

“He (Prescott) can be pretty good in the regular season but he is 2-5 in the playoffs.

“This is nothing personal for me against Dak Prescott, he seems like a really good guy. This is about professional, this is about winning football games when it’s time to win football games.”

Jones was quoted at the Senior Bowl as going ‘all in’ during the offseason.

Although, this does not seem to be the case now.

Jones seems to be giving everyone one last roll of the dice otherwise he is happy with starting with a fresh quarterback.

Nevertheless, if Prescott secures a Super Bowl ring, Jones will happily pay him top dollar.

Dak Prescott needs to deliver now, it is all or nothing in Dallas.
