America’s Team is focused on building its roster through the talented pool of the NFL Draft.

Jerry Jones has refused to dip into the free agency market to bring in reinforcements.

Eric Kendricks is the only new addition to the 2023 roster which has been deprived of bodies.

Many faces have left the Dallas Cowboys with no one coming the other way.

Cowboys to back themselves in the NFL Draft

The Cowboys are placing all their eggs in the drafting basket and are looking to build their contending roster from there.

Furthermore, The Star in Frisco will be hosting the Cowboys’ top 30 visits as they look to draw up their favorite choices.

NFL Combine

Many of the top offensive linemen will be arriving in Dallas to meet with the likes of Mike McCarthy on a close basis.

Jerry Jones has seven picks to play with in the NFL Draft, sacrificing a fourth-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for Trey Lance.

In addition, the Cowboys have earned a fifth and sixth-round compensatory pick.

But could the Cowboys try and cash in to earn an extra pick?

Cowboys could take advantage of the Bills’ desperation

Stefon Diggs’ blockbuster move has sent shockwaves through the NFL.

Josh Allen has a wide receiver core stripped down to the bare bones.

Therefore, strong rumors suggest that the Bills could be interested in a wide receiver for their first pick.

However, one of their bitter rivals of recent years the Kansas City Chiefs has also been predicted to take a receiver in round one.

The two AFC franchises will be skeptical of one another and the Cowboys could use this to their advantage.

Cowboys could trade back with Chiefs or Bills

America’s Team could trade back and take the Chiefs or Bills first-round pick while they sacrifice theirs.

As a result, the Cowboys would still have a first-round pick but earn an additional pick later in the NFL Draft.

Currently, the Chiefs hold the 32nd and the Bills claim the 28th pick in round one.

Buffalo has 11 picks in the upcoming draft and could be tempted to trade to secure their wide receiver.

The demand for the cream of the crop talent is deafening in the NFL, moving just a couple of picks higher could be monumental.

Ultimately, Dallas could be inclined to secure all the picks they can receive when considering the exodus of players this offseason.
