The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the hardest starts to the NFL season as they host AFC Contenders on prime time in their opening two games.

The Chiefs have discovered this week, through NFL mini-leaks, that they are set to host the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of the AFC Championship during kick-off weekend.

Arrowhead Stadium will unveil their new Super Bowl banner to add to their ever-growing collection in front of a team who hoped it would be them.

However, the NFL schedule has not got any easier for the Chiefs in the following game week, as they will host Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kansas City hosts the Ravens and will look to avoid a similar showing with the Detroit Lions

Kansas City will be desperate not to start their season similarly as they did last year when they were stunned by the Detroit Lions.

Nonetheless, this is a perfect opportunity to play the biggest rivals early in the season when momentum and form are irrelevant.

However, that is the same mentality the Ravens and Bengals will be approaching the games with.

The schedules have not been released in their entirety and the Chiefs will be hoping they can start the season 2-0 before they go on the road to the Atlanta Falcons.

Travis Kelce spoke about the action-packed opening two weeks of the season and appreciated the challenge that was set for them.

“We’re going to have our hands full. Let’s start this thing off right baby, two big prime time match ups man,” Kelce stated via the New Heights podcast.

“I do like playing the top teams early. [The Bengals and the Ravens] are going to be two of the best teams in the National Football League.”

The new highest-paid tight end in the NFL is confident about starting the season with a bang and is enthusiastic to play the top teams early.

Furthermore, the Chiefs are embarking on a three-peat season and are looking to make NFL history.

For such an important season, the NFL felt it must have to start in a dynamic fashion and that is by giving them their hardest opponents.
