Three-time Pro Bowl safety claimed the 49ers battled against the refs and Taylor Swift at Super Bowl LVIII

The Kansas City Chiefs victory at Super Bowl LVIII is almost a distant memory but some people still hold a grudge.

In February, Chiefs Kingdom rejoiced winning back-to-back rings for the first time in franchise history.

Moreover, they have won three Super Bowls in five years and avenged their failure of successive rings in 2020.

Samuel and Juszczyk break silence on the Super Bowl defeat

The San Francisco 49ers once again lost to the Chiefs just like in 2019, albeit with a much closer scoreline.

It seems the Niners are always the bridesmaid but never the bride in recent years.

Niners stars like Deebo Samuel and Kyle Juszczyk shared their thoughts about the bitter defeat.

The former felt much sorrier for himself, as Juszczyk put the caption ‘defeated not denied’ on his Instagram.

However, one former player has shared his thoughts about the Chiefs’ recent victory.

Former player says, ’49ers played against Taylor Swift’

Former safety Donte Whitner believed the San Francisco 49ers were disadvantaged: “When we think about the Super Bowl as well, I think the 49ers played against the refs as well guys,” he claimed on the Up and Adams Show.

“I think we look at that film and we see bear hugs on those defensive ends and you really see it in blatant moments in the game. [The] 49ers played against Taylor Swift, the refs, and the Kansas City Chiefs. All three.”

Clear accusations are made that the bias of the refs in Las Vegas helped the Chiefs.

When you analyze the penalty statistics during the game, the Chiefs were penalized worse.

Patrick Mahomes and company received six penalties costing 55 yards.

On the other hand, the West Coast franchise logged six penalties as well but for only 40 yards.

Whitner may be speaking from a slight bias as he played for the Niners for three seasons (2011-2013).

The 38-year-old played his best football in San Francisco as he earned two of his Pro Bowl selections there.

Bizarrely, the former safety even mentions Taylor Swift having an impact on the Super Bowl outcome.

Overall, the Chiefs apparently had the help of the refs and Travis Kelce’s partner.

Yet, the Chiefs will not care as this victory now opens the door to do something no franchise has done in NFL History.

They can win three Super Bowls in a row.

The 49ers are the odds-on favorites to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy, so there could be a rematch on the cards.
