Stephen A. Smith has taken a shot at the Cowboys after Houston’s huge trade

The Dallas Cowboys have made no marquee signings in their offseason but their state rivals have been busy.

Currently, America’s Team has brought in just one outside free agent since the beginning of the offseason.

Their inactivity had received heavy backlash and there are no signs of things improving.

Cowboys reporter Mike Fisher says there is a glimmer of hope as the Cowboys are historically excellent drafters.

However, their state sharers the Houston Texans have been making plenty of noise.

Cowboys overshadowed by Texans

Unlike the Cowboys, the Texans have seen exciting new acquisitions walk through the front door.

Their latest one has sent seismic waves through the NFL in the last couple of hours.

Controversial wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been traded to the Texas from the Buffalo Bills.

He joins an AFC rival which is one of the most exciting teams to look out for in 2024.

Spearheaded by C.J. Stroud and Tank Dell, the Texans won the AFC South and were beaten by the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round.

Diggs now joins the fellow free agent additions, Joe Mixon and Darnell Hunter who can lead a conference charge.

The Cowboys were once the proud and dominant rulers of Texas State.

‘The best team in Texas’

According to Stephen A. Smith on ESPN, the Diggs trade ‘probably makes them the best team in Texas’.

Fellow pundit Louis Riddick swiftly supported that statement, saying: “Real talk you’re right! This changes the dynamic, they (Texans) have already been doing work this offseason. Now with him! C’mon now.”

Ironically, the Dallas Cowboys and Texans are due to meet in the 2024 season.

The two franchises will meet at AT&T Stadium and can prove who is the better team.

Two brothers square off in 2024

Trevon Diggs is recovering from a season-ending ACL tear but should return for the 2024 season.

Therefore, being CB1, Stefon being WR1, the two brothers will be lining up against one another.

This will bring a new dynamic to the game – sibling rivalry.
