The Dallas Cowboys and Dak Prescott are in a tense period where the elephant in the room needs to be addressed regarding his contract.
Jerry Jones and his executives are dealing with backlash after having no activity in free agency.
The ‘all in’ claim at the Senior Bowl is looking like an all-bark no-bite moment.
Prescott’s frosty contract
Dak Prescott’s contract is in a state of standstill and Jones does not want to show his cards.
Moreover, if the Cowboys are going to be extending their franchise quarterback it would have been wise to do so before free agency.
As they could have restructured his deal and had a greater budget to invest within the open market.
However, none of that has occurred and the pressure is now building around the Cowboys.

America’s Team is one of, if not the most publicized team in the NFL.
Any decision, problem, or disagreement is magnified.
The Dallas Cowboys do not need any distractions or drama from outside the franchise.
Nevertheless, they have got it.
What Dak Prescott’s brother said about the Dallas Cowboys
Tad Prescott, the brother of the Dak, took to social media to have a subtle dig at Jerry Jones and his crew.
The brother of the three-time Pro Bowler took to X and posted: “So if it wasn’t clear already, it is now. The Eagles have the best front office in the NFL #howboutthemcowboys.”
Tad Prescott references the Philadelphia Eagles free agency landing of Saquon Barkley, a target for the Cowboys.
Evidently, the front office dig was at the Cowboys which is obvious through the choice of hashtag.
Stephen A Smith responds to Tad Prescott
Stephen A. Smith was left fuming on First Take when the conversation arose: “Tad Prescott, the brother, shut the hell up. You shut the hell up. I’m sick of him, and everybody should be sick of him.
“Because you’re implying that your brother had nothing to do with the trouble Dallas Cowboys have experienced, when you make a comment like that about the Philadelphia Eagles, knowing it’s going to be received publicly.
“What you’re basically saying is it’s not my brother’s fault. Your brother has something to do with it.”
Smith complimented Dak Prescott but said he needs to step up on the big stage: “You know I troll Cowboy fans and stuff like that, I’m not joking. That Prescott can ball, he’s no scrub. He’s a model individually.
“You got to play better in the moments that count. There’s a lot of love for Dak Prescott, your brother Tad is another matter. Shut the hell up.”
The 30-year-old’s poor playoff record is something that he needs to take accountability for and he will.
However, there is no reason for the brother to publicly get involved in the situation and he has provoked reactions.
The rest of the offseason is crucial and the Cowboys do not need outside noise causing problems.
