The Dallas Cowboys, who have been the supreme franchise in the State of Texas, could be under threat by the emerging star-studded team the Houston Texans.

America’s Team approached the offseason with an ‘all in’ approach but Jerry Jones’ meaning of the words has not aligned with other people.

However, their state-sharing franchise, the Texans, have been splashing the cash in free agency and been going ‘all in’.

The Texans have added superstar talent to their roster closing the gap to Dallas

The Texans are spearheaded by their sophomore-season approaching signal-caller C.J. Stroud. Moreover, the rookie deal he is tied down to has allowed the franchise to use the money to surround the QB with star talent.

Houston has added Joe Mixon at running back and the former All-Pro Stefon Diggs to the offense. This is in addition to current weapons Tank Dell, Nico Collins, and the Cowboys’ former tight end Dalton Schultz.

After the Buffalo Bills traded away Diggs to the Texans, Stephen A. Smith and other analysts questioned if they had surpassed Dallas.

Mike McCarthy’s offense ranked 9th overall and their Texas counterparts were three places behind them in 12th.

However, these rankings did not sit well with Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe on analysis.

Shannon Sharpe bemused by the Texans’ lower-graded offense compared to the Cowboys

“I’m tryna figure out what you guys like about the Cowboys, they got CeeDee [Lamb] what else,” Sharpe said via the Nightcap podcast.

“Do you think the Cowboys offense is better than the Texans? Hell no! With Diggs, Tank Dell, Nico Collins, Dalton Schultz, and C.J. [Stroud]. Oh hell nah! No way the Texans can be out of the top 10.”

The Houston Texans are approaching the season as dark horses and have put the pieces in place to make a deep playoff run.

Furthermore, they are scheduled to face the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on November 18th in the battle of Texas.

Additionally, America’s Team has won four of their last five meetings. So, the Texans will be fired up to close the gap on their neighbors.
