Radio host was told Dallas Cowboys star has ‘worn thin’, Dez Bryant is not impressed to hear it

Times at the Cowboys seem to be changing from water into wine overnight.

For some weeks now, it has been unclear what kind of mood the Dallas Cowboys is feeling. Significant losses, no major signings, no star contract extensions and the uncertain future of the quarterback.

Owner Jerry Jones’ speech for the 2024 season was that the team would go ‘all-in’, but this narrative is gradually being diluted and becoming ‘get it done with less’.

The Cowboys’ reality is totally unrelated to what other teams are doing. On the one hand, we see other franchises stepping up, while on the other, Dallas remains silent – and it’s not as if they’re planning a huge move.

What’s going on internally

For another year, Cowboys Nation has been waiting for good news and reasons to believe that something will happen in 2024. Something that brings joy, preferably.

As it happens, the rumours are all about Micah Parsons, the star who makes Dallas’ pass rush so reliable.

According to Shan Shariff of 105.3 The Fan, several people within the franchise feel that Parsons’ relationship with Dallas ‘has worn thin’.

The journalist was also told that the idea of no longer having the player in the squad would be great for some people inside.

“I don’t know how much is true and how much it actually hurts (his reputation). I don’t know whether this is the behavior of a typical superstar. I don’t how damaging it is.”

“But all I do know is this – I’ve heard from way too many people that if Micah Parsons was out of there, there would be a decent amount of people inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco smiling or breathing a sigh of relief.”

So far, there’s nothing to prove that the pass rusher is discontent defending America’s Team.

Parsons and Cee Dee Lamb are waiting for a contract renewal, but so far no decision has been announced.

It may be that the organisation is holding off until after the Draft to analyse everything that has been done and finally take a stand on the pieces of the puzzle that are still not in place.

Dez Bryant is already used to this narrative

As soon as the news broke that the Cowboys player is having a strained relationship with the franchise, former wide receiver Dez Bryant posted a tweet.

In his opinion, this kind of rumor starts to appear when someone is due to ‘get paid’.

It’s not time to draw any conclusions yet. Soon, someone from within the team should make a statement about the situation and it is expected that they will decide what to do with the pieces that sustain the Dallas squad.
