The driving force behind the Kansas City Chiefs offense has given good reasons for him to retire early from football.
Patrick Mahomes appeared on the front cover of Time Magazine and was named the Most Influential Person of 2024.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has inspired many young athletes worldwide and elevated the game to another level.
Patrick Mahomes is already one of the most decorated quarterback ever
His three Super Bowl victories, three Super Bowl MVPs, and two regular-season MVPs have made him one of the most decorated players ever.
Moreover, he has already entered the same stratosphere as Tom Brady and is trying to tie his overall ring record (7).
Tom Brady played until the vintage age of 43 before he decided to call it a day.
The conversation has been deliberated if Mahomes could catch the greatest player of all time.

The 28-year-old is already hunting for his fourth ring to add to the growing collection.
His achievements deservedly rewarded him with the feat of Most Influential Person by Time Magazine.
During his heartfelt interview with the outlet, he described what the future for him could look like.
Patrick Mahomes knows when ‘it’s time to go’ and leave football
When the prospect of retirement surfaced, Mahomes stated: “I’ve looked. If I played until Tom [Brady]’s age, my daughter would be 19 or 20 years old.
“That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments. I would love to play that long.
“At the same time, I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I’ll continue to play. But if I feel like it’s taking away from my family time, that’s when I’ll know it’s time to go.”
Mahomes prioritizes family over his longevity in football
Mahomes has two children Sterling and Bronze – he wants to be an important part of their childhood.
Football now entails long-haul traveling and can limit the moments players can see their close family.
Mahomes implies he will strongly consider if he can afford to play until Tom Brady’s age 43.
However, that is over 15 years away from Mahomes and he still has plenty to give right now.
The Texas native is still in his prime and has penned a deal to keep him on the Chiefs roster until 2030.
Nevertheless, the focus now shifts back to the pivotal offseason which can dictate if they have given them the best chance to win another Super Bowl.
