The Kansas City Chiefs have had one of the most explosive and unique offenses in the league but Andy Reid could be dialing up something even more mind-blowing.
Patrick Mahomes has an insane amount of plays in his locker and his spontaneous improvisation has made him an uncontrollable offensive threat.
Andy Reid and Mahomes have been the inventors of ridiculous plays. Moreover, the signal-caller can pull off sideways passes and take off with his feet.
Clark Hunt is left speechless by Patrick Mahomes’ ‘no-look’ pass on tape in 2017
When Mahomes sat behind Alex Smith in his rookie year, Brett Veach and Andy Reid showed owner Clark Hunt footage of him.
Hunt claimed that the eventual two-time MVP had done something that he had never seen before. On tape, Hunt was seeing Mahomes perform no-look passes, something the owner only thought could exist in basketball.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been putting their heads together to try and come up with the next outlandish play and they do have one.
Last season, Mahomes was asked about the ‘behind-the-back’ pass and the Chiefs have drawn up ideas including it.
However, the Chiefs did not execute the unique pass at any point during the 2023 NFL season.
Patrick Mahomes blames his ‘confidence’ for not attempting the ‘behind-the-back’ pass
Yesterday, in his exclusive interview on First Things First, Patrick Mahomes was asked by Kevin Wildes about the play.
“We didn’t play as well offensively enough for me to pull the behind-the-back pass off [last year],” the three-time Super Bowl MVP claimed on the show.
“Coach Reid wants me to throw behind the back more than anyone in the world. He deliberately puts in plays that I have the opportunity to throw the ball behind the back. It’s not a coaching thing, it’s me not having the confidence to do it in the game. One of these games we gotta do it!”
Despite Mahomes having all the confidence in the world, he has not been sure enough to attempt the outrageous play just yet.
Chiefs are keen to demonstrate the pass in 2024 and add it to their list of plays
Nonetheless, he seems keen to attempt it in the upcoming season, which would be fitting for their historic campaign.
Jump passes, shuffle passes, side passes, no-look passes, and now the behind-the-back pass could be a weapon for Mahomes.
Furthermore, if anyone has the talent to pull it off, it will be the generational quarterback under the guidance of Andy Reid.
Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the pass in 2024!!
