Patrick Mahomes at just 28 years old has already written his name into NFL history as one of the greatest quarterbacks to grace the field.
The Kansas City Chiefs franchise quarterback has already achieved a feat that Tom Brady did not achieve until 37.
Unbelievably, Patrick Mahomes was the third quarterback selected in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Furthermore, the NFL Combine grade the two-time MVP received was a 6.30.

Mahomes underrated by the NFL
According to the NFL, this grade of 6.30 means ‘will eventually be a plus starter.’
Mahomes was predicted to be a starter after multiple years in the NFL and might not even reach that level.
In the rookie of Texas Tech’s Pro Day, to make him stand out from the crowd, he threw a dime 78 yards downfield.
Afterwards, he joined the crew on Good Morning Football.
Mahomes spoke about the monstrous pass he demonstrated in the Pro Day and proceeded to speak a scenario into existence.
Mahomes on his Pro Day throw
On Good Morning Football, he explained why his long throw was so important: “If you look at Aaron Rodgers who I love and you see the Hail Mary and how it changes the game.
“They kick a field goal with 13 seconds, we throw one pass for five yards and we got a chance at a hail Mary in the end zone.”
Ironically, Mahomes would be wrapped up in a scenario that saw him trail by a field goal with 13 seconds on the clock.
’13 seconds’ becomes reality
In the AFC Divisional tie against the Buffalo Bills, an enthralling last two minutes unfolded.
Gabe Davis scored a touchdown and Stefon Diggs secured the two-point conversion.
Tyreek Hill replied with a 64-year touchdown.
Then Josh Allen marched downfield to throw another dime to Davis which had the same result.
With 13 seconds on the scoreboard, Mahomes received the ball and demonstrated why he is one of the most clutch players of all time.
Harrison Butker needed the Chiefs to get within his comfortable range of 38 yards to give him a realistic shot.
No problem for the three-time Super Bowl MVP.
Mahomes connected with Hill for 19 yards and then Travis Kelce to give Butker a 49-yard field goal attempt.
Easy for Butker as he nailed the three-point attempt to send the game to overtime and eventually win the tie.
Mahomes spoke the ’13 second’ comment into existence when speaking before he had even played a snap in the NFL.
