Who would have thought that one day the NFL and Taylor Swift would have something in common?

Last year, Travis Kelce and the singer made their relationship official. The pop star attended 13 games last season and the trend is for this number to increase in 2024.

There has even been some debate about the NFL having defined the schedule of games based on the dates of ‘The Eras Tour’, the world tour that Swift has been doing since 2023.

The league, however, has already gone public to say that this was not the case, but that it did have to adjust some games due to the singer’s concerts in New Orleans, for example.

Taylor Swift’s impact on the NFL world

From the moment Swift made her presence known in the NFL community, a lot of things happened.

The most important of these was the increase in the female audience. More women consume the games and, consequently, products related to American football.

It’s even common to find teenage girls on social media asking questions about the game and really dedicated to learning the sport because of their idol’s influence.

Naturally, sales of Kelce’s jerseys have grown exponentially – and personalised versions have even been created.

Taylor Swift and friendship with Patrick Mahomes

The relationship between Kelce and Swift opened doors for the artist to become friends with her boyfriend’s close friends.

Patrick Mahomes, for example, can now be considered Taylor’s friend.

Living with the quarterback’s circle of friends/family has provided entertainment for fans and interesting situations.

In a recent interview with NBC, Pat Mahomes said he’s happy with all the good things Swift’s arrival has brought to the league: “I think it’s been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football.”

“I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls – these daughters – and how much they’re loving to spend time with their dad, watching football,” said.

He then spoke about his relationship with his friend’s girlfriend and heaped praise on her.

“And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is. I think that’s been special to me because she’s, like you said, the most famous person in the world – she could not be (genuine).”

Taylor Swift goes beyond just being ‘Kelce’s girlfriend’

It’s no secret that Taylor Swift is a great artist and puts a lot of effort into everything she does.

She really embraces everything she does and is apparently doing the same with the NFL.

“She’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays,” claimed.

He continued: “We might have to put one in.”

It seems that Swift isn’t just a girlfriend who attends games to support Travis Kelce. It would be quite surprising to see Andy Reid and the Chiefs call a play designed by the singer.
