Patrick Mahomes could set an unprecedented NFL record with a win against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense is really starting to click.
In their 31-17 victory over the Chargers, Mahomes threw for 424 yards and four touchdowns with just one interception. Through seven games this season, the Chiefs QB has 2,017 yards with a 69.5 completion percentage for 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, are 2nd in total yards per game (403.9), 3rd in passing yards (292.6 PYPG) and 6th in points scored per game (25.4).

Patrick Mahomes could set ‘unprecedented’ NFL record with win over Broncos
We’re running out of superlatives to describe Patrick Mahomes, and on Sunday against the Broncos he has the chance to break yet another NFL record.
When the Chiefs visit Denver on Sunday, Mahomes can do something no quarterback has ever done before. With a win, Mahomes would be 13-0 against the Broncos for his career.
No quarterback in NFL history has ever started his career 13-0 against an opponent.
Former Cleveland Browns QB Otto Graham is the only other quarterback to start his career 12-0 against one team, which he did against the Chicago Cardinals between 1950 and 1955.
The all-time longest winning streak for any quarterback against any opponent is 17 games, set by Bob Griese against the Bills. If Mahomes can make it to 2025 without losing to the Broncos he can tie that record.

Mahomes creates yet more history against Chargers
Against the Chargers, Mahomes became the fastest NFL QB to throw for at least 400 yards in 10 games in league history, which he did in the 87th game of his career.
The Chiefs QB joins the likes of Dan Marino, Matthew Stafford, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady as the only QBs to throw for at least 400 yards in 10 or more games.
With their victory on Sunday, Mahomes also threw for 400+ yards and four touchdown passes in a game for the fifth time in his NFL career, putting him level with Brees for the third-most in league history.
Only Marino (seven) and Peyton Manning (eight) have had more such games.
