Cowboys star explains why Travis Kelce plays better with Taylor Swift in attendance

Micah Parsons recently explained on his podcast why he thinks Travis Kelce plays better with Taylor Swift at his games.

Travis Kelce is a Hall of Fame lock and one of the best TEs to ever do it. However, there’s no doubt there’s been a certain spring in his step in recent weeks.

After the impressive win against the Chargers this weekend, Kelce has 31 catches for 370 yards and two touchdowns in his last three games. That production may or may not have coincided with Kelce’s blossoming romance with Taylor Swift, who was once again in attendance at Arrowhead on Sunday to watch Trav and the Chiefs do their thing.

Travis Kelce stats with Taylor Swift in attendance vs left to his own devices

During the Chargers game, the TV broadcast threw up a pretty interesting graphic relating to Kelce’s output with and without Swift at games this season.

Kelce is averaging 99 (now 108) yards per game when Swift is at the game this season and 46.5 when she isn’t.

‘With Taylor Swift in attendance – 99 yards,’ the graphic read. ‘Left to his own devices – 46.5 yards’.

After the graphic popped up, NFL commentator Tony Romo said he was impressed with how Kelce is handling the extra attention.

The way it’s presented, it makes people think, ‘Does he care about football?’ Yes, this guy loves football more than anybody, and this will not affect anything,” Romo predicted.

He even said Kelce might end up getting better on the field “because you can’t go anywhere or do anything with all the people chasing you around.”

Micah Parsons explains why Travis Kelce plays better with Taylor Swift in attendance

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons recently weighed in on Kelce’s recent performances with Taylor at his games.

The All-Pro pass rusher said on his ‘The Edge’ podcast that it’s not actually to do with Swift specifically, rather, that everyone lifts their game when a ‘bad’ girl is in attendance.

“It’s not [because of] Taylor Swift, but imma tell y’all one thing, when there’s a ‘bad’ girl, and she’s in attendance, and she’s watching you, that gives you an extra boost of confidence. [Kelce] was already doing it, so now he’s like ‘I’m gonna do it, but more now.’

Parsons recently said Kelce is “setting the standard” for celebrity relationships.

It isn’t the first time Parsons has remarked on the Kelce-Swift phenomenon.

“My brothers!! One women can change your life!!!” Parsons tweeted in September. “Start shooting!!”

“You shot from deep and you scored,” Parsons said of Kelce on his podcast. “You Stephen Curry, my brother, you might be the new Steph of football. That’s dope. I can’t even lie. I wanna see somebody shoot at somebody else.

“The NFL, we up right now. … I challenge all my other NFL guys. Start shootin’ from deep. Start shootin’ from deep. … We gotta start shootin’, brother. Publicly shooting. … We gotta start going, brothers. I think Trav set the standard for this.”

Parsons is referring to the fact Kelce initiated the apparent relationship with Swift. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, the Pro Bowl tight end admitted he attempted to give the Grammy-winning singer his phone number after she performed in Kansas City.

“It’s life, baby,” Kelce told McAfee about the rumors spreading. “I threw the ball in her court and told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead. You might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ We’ll see what happens in the near future.”
