The NFL has sent a memo out to all 32 teams that fights like the one seen in the Cowboys vs Chargers game in Week 6 could lead to a loss of draft picks.
The NFL recently announced that three Dallas Cowboys players are being fined for their involvement in several incidents in the Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Three Cowboys fined for involvement in Chargers fracas
Defensive end Dorance Armstrong, safety Jayron Kearse, and safety Markquese Bell were all fined for unnecessary roughness during the team’s 20-17 win. Armstrong and Kearse will each pay a fine of $21,855 while Bell will owe $4,681.
Kearse was fined for a helmet-to-helmet tackle of L.A. quarterback Justin Herbert in the second quarter, a play that also drew a 15-yard penalty flag during the game. Bell was also fined as a result of helmet-to-helmet contact.
However, the pregame brawl was arguably the biggest incident of the game, and one the NFL is keep to stamp down on.
Dallas defensive end Dante Fowler took a swing at the head of Chargers running back Austin Ekeler, knocking Ekeler’s helmet off his head. Mazi Smith, Sam Williams, and other Cowboys players also got involved in the incident, which the NFL hasn’t taken too kindly with.
NFL warns that Cowboys-Chargers type fights will lead to ‘significant’ discipline
On Sunday, the league sent a memo to all 32 NFL teams threatening to hand down significant punishment to any players or teams involved in fights before or during games.
In a memo obtained by ESPN, the NFL told teams that fighting “is irreconcilable” with the league’s values and “is never acceptable”.
The memo stated that any players or club personnel who fight before or during a game are subject to ejection, suspension and/or significant fine.
The NFL also warned that any team whose players or personnel are involved in a fight – like the one between the Cowboys and Chargers – could potentially forfeit a draft pick and/or face a fine.
It comes after a similar incident between the Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers also happened in Week 6 (although none of the players involved in that were subsequently fined).
