Dez Bryant has made a social media pitch to All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams to join the Cowboys amid the Raiders star’s ongoing frustrations.
All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams has cut a frustrated figure with the Raiders in recent weeks. Sure, the Raiders have won two straight to move to 3-3 for the season, but Adams’ role in the Las Vegas offense has taken a serious hit.

All-Pro WR frustrated over his role in Raiders offense
Adams is a Hall of Fame calibre receiver and one of the best offensive players in the NFL. However, his production of late simply hasn’t matched his standards.
He isn’t seeing enough of the football (his target total has dropped from 13 to four and five over the last three games) and he’s caught just six passes for 74 yards combined between his last two games.
He’s unsurprisingly frustrated by the current situation.
“I’m a human being and I have extremely high standards for myself in this offense,” Adams said via ESPN. “I’m sure people are thinking, ‘They won the game, why is there an issue?’ I mean, you see why it’s an issue. Y’all should know who I am, know what I’m about at this point … when you’re a player like me, mentally, my benchmark is not wins and losses — it’s greatness. So when I go out there, I expect to be able to have that ability to put that on tape and have an influence on the game. That’s my purpose for being here. I’m not here just to hang out; I came here to win and to do it the right way.”
“So if it don’t look like it’s supposed to look, then I’m going to be frustrated if I’m not a part of that plan,” Adams said. “Because I have the opportunity to go and change that and make it look like a much better picture out there. And if that doesn’t happen, then I’m going to be frustrated.
“It’s not about me, but I’m one of the bigger pieces as to why this offense is going to go. And if I’m not getting it, then that’s obviously not according to plan.”

Cowboys icon makes recruiting pitch to Davante Adams
There were high hopes for Adams after the Raiders acquired him from the Packers via trade last season.
However, the WR is clearly disgruntled, and one Cowboys icon has seen that as an opportunity to recruit him to Dallas.
Dez Bryant recently made a social media sales pitch for his former team to recruit the six-time Pro Bowler.
Bryant tagged Adams in a Twitter post that just included the word ‘Cowboys’ followed by an eyes emoji:
Dez’s post is obviously tongue in cheek, and it’s highly unlikely the Cowboys would actually be able to land Adams.
However, his developing situation is certainly something to be aware of, given Adams would immediately improve the Cowboys offense.
Dallas’ passing offense as a whole ranks 17th in the NFL, averaging 329.8 yards per game. Pairing Adams with CeeDee Lamb, who leads the team with 34 receptions and 475 yards, would solve a lot of the Cowboy’s red zone issues.
Landing Adams may be a pipe dream as things stand, but if the situation changes the Cowboys should be on standby ready to pounce. Acquiring a talent like Adams could make all the difference in making in to the Super Bowl.
