Yesterday, America’s Team learned their fate for the 2024 season when it was confirmed they will be facing the Cleveland Browns on prime time.
The Dallas Cowboys will be heading to the ‘Dawg Pound’ and square off with one of the best defenses in football with the NFL Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett, swopping in off the edge.
Dallas fans can see football returning just on the horizon but the current offseason has not injected the fan base with beaming confidence.
Jerry Jones makes bold claims of ‘all in’ but does not meet the fans’ expectations
Jerry Jones stated the franchise was ‘all in’ but has only brought in three outside free agents to the roster so far.
They have reunited with Ezekiel Elliott but failed to land their favorite rushing target in the NFL Draft.

The consensus from analysts awarded the Dallas Cowboys with a drafting grade sitting at around a B.
However, their main problems are still just as predominant in May as they were in January when they were dumped out of the playoffs.
Several key players need new deals and Mike Florio bashed Jones’ approach
Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb are both entering contract years and neither have signed an extension.
Although Micah Parsons has two years left, he is also eligible for a new deal but, once again, Jerry Jones has shown no interest in starting talks.
Mike Florio has been vocal in the 81-year-old’s archaic approach to new deals, where he brushes the problems under the carpet and lets the prices drive up in the market.
Overall, despite Cowboy Nation wanting football to return, the expectations have been dealt a blow with the exodus of key starters in the offseason.
Dallas Cowboys set to meet the ‘tough test’ Cleveland Browns in Week 1
Furthermore, they have matched up with the Cleveland Browns who can create one of the most hostile atmospheres in the league.
“I’m fascinated by the fact the Cowboys are favorites in this game,” Craig Carlton explained on his show.
“When you talk about tough tests to open up a season, I can’t think of a tougher place to be than [at] a sold-out stadium in Cleveland. With a team that has legitimate expectations. You’re on the road and their defense is gonna try and make a stand… to announce themselves to the rest of the league, ‘We are for real’.”
Dallas has been dealt a difficult hand of cards in the opening week but this could be the test that their new starting rookies may need.
Some say that getting thrown into the deep end is the best way to make someone swim, well it does not get deeper than the hostile atmosphere in Cleveland.
