The Kansas City Chiefs’ popularity has grown at a rate of no other franchise in the last five years, purely down to their on-field success.
Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have been the greatest quarterback-head coach duo since Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Three Super Bowl crowns in five years and the chance of the illustrious ‘three-peat’ sees them flirt with the chance of making NFL history.
Moreover, possessing the greatest tight end of all time Travis Kelce has proved to be a catalyst for popularity. His relationship with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has built the Chiefs’ brand.
The Chiefs’ brand continues to grow and their TV coverage for 2024 reflects this
The Chiefs’ image has soared in combination with all these factors and now they are in demand like never before.
Kansas City has five prime-time games heading into the 2024 season, alongside a Christmas Day clash and a Black Friday fixture.

Per Ari Meirov, the Chiefs have 13 marquee matchups out of their 17 games next year.
Evidently, the Chiefs are in demand because they bring in priceless TV revenue and are a money-generating machine for the broadcaster.
NFL Director responds to claim the Chiefs are now America’s Team surpassing the Cowboys
Meirov spoke to the NFL Senior Director of Broadcasting Blake Jones and questioned if the Chiefs had surpassed the Dallas Cowboys as America’s Team.
The Cowboys have been dubbed ‘America’s Team’ due to their historical status which has seen them become the most supported team in The States.
“[Chiefs are] a team right now that everybody loves to watch, the fans tune in, not just because they’re a brand that people recognize, they’re a great football that wins a lot of games. They’re up there right now as one of the top teams in the league, as far as the draw they have nationally and internationally with our fans,” Blake said via the 33rd Team podcast.
“Yes, they’re gonna end up with a lot of those high-profile stand-alone windows so the country is going to get to see them. I think our fans show that’s what they’re looking for.”
Per Blake, the Chiefs are one of, if not the most in-demand franchise to see on TV.
Broadcasters’ eyes are lighting up at the money and fans the Chiefs draw in
Their global pull dominates the NFL scene and understandably the broadcasters want to cash in.
Furthermore, the Chiefs are looking to make history and it is no surprise that they have the most coverage so fans can follow their journey.
The Cowboys will refuse that the Chiefs have overtaken them in the popularity race but they have closed the gap exponentially.
All eyes will be on the Chiefs in 2024 as they are placed under the microscope in what could be the greatest season in football history.
