The NFL Draft is well underway and has not failed to deliver surprises and trades throughout the evening.

Six quarterbacks were taken in the first 12 picks of the first round in a top-heavy offensive draft class.

A defensive player was not taken until the 15th overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts, who were interested in Brock Bowers, settled for UCLA rookie defensive edge Laiatu Latu.

Defensive stars fall and the Eagles pounce on the opportunity to aggravate Parsons

After, the defensive players started falling and four of the next six picks targeted the defense.

However, Micah Parsons was left fuming witnessing the NFL Draft unfold after the Eagles’ first-round pick.

Whispers emerged that Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was going to be aggressive and attempt to trade up.

Philadelphia Eagles v Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys NFC East rivals decided to stay put and wait out for the 22nd pick.

Ultimately, high-graded defensive stars fell further than expected due to the quarterback focus.

In addition, offensive linemen were a top priority in a stacked 2024 draft class in those positions.

Eagles select the best cornerback in the draft and Parsons speaks his mind

Gratefully, the Eagles selected the best cornerback in the draft Quinyon Mitchell.

Micah Parsons was participating in the Bleacher Report’s Live Draft Show and had some strong words about the Eagles’ selection.

On the show, the Cowboys linebacker stated: “I mean, I’m utterly disgusted on how lucky the Eagles are.

“He fell right into their lap. He checks every box. … I think this is a terrific pick. I don’t know how Howie…”

There is no blood lost between the two franchises even on NFL Draft Day.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old believes his rival has landed their perfect player but suggests luck has been significant.

He was very complimentary about the selection made but could not shake the bitterness.

Dallas chose to trade at #24 and drafted Tyron Smith’s replacement

The Dallas Cowboys decided to trade away their first-round pick to the Detroit Lions and used their acquired 29th pick to select Tyron Smith’s replacement.

Hopefully, Parsons was just as loud in his enthusiasm for Tyler Guyton.

Ultimately, the Cowboys’ defensive star will be wishing Mitchell does not come back to haunt the franchise.
