All offseason eyes have been shifted back in the direction of the Dallas Cowboys after Justin Jefferson broke the non-QB market with his latest signature.
The Dallas Cowboys now must satisfy CeeDee Lamb after he has seen his wide receiver rival ink a dotted line to make him the highest-paid in their position.
Lamb has failed to be present at any offseason training programs and made his stance clear when he did not report for the mandatory minicamp.
CeeDee Lamb sets new franchise records in his historic 2023 campaign
The history maker for the Dallas Cowboys surpassed single-season records in receiving yards (1,749) and receptions (135) set by the legendary Michael Irvin.
Therefore, CeeDee Lamb has every right to be asking for top-dollar and he will be analyzing Justin Jefferson’s record figure.
Fans and most of the media have been left baffled by the Joneses approach to the contract decisions.

Dallas has let three wide receivers set new APY records in the wide receiver market.
In April, Amon-Ra St.Brown for the Detroit Lions set a then-record of $30 million APY and now Justin Jefferson has added a further $5 million to the number.
The Dallas Cowboys have watched the wide receiver market grow every passing month
Jerry Jones’ hesitation has seen the market explode and will now have to pay Lamb close to, in line with, or more than Jefferson.
In addition, the Dallas Cowboys are the lowest offseason spenders in the NFL but are now going to be forced to dig deep into their pockets.
The question the Cowboys must answer is, where do they value Lamb in line with the Minnesota Vikings receiver?
The Dallas Cowboys must face the facts and not delay the inevitable before the franchise reaches the summer break.
Louis Riddick says Lamb should be extended from a business standpoint
Former NFL player and ESPN analyst Louis Riddick believes America’s Team should be paying Lamb purely from a business standpoint.
“A secondary benefit, which quite honestly makes sense from a business perspective. You want to attract more players? Score points! How do you score more points in the NFL… you throw the football and make explosive plays,” Riddick said via ESPN.
“How do you get more fans on seats and fans buying season tickets? Score points and have an explosive offense. Who does that for you? Wide receivers do that for you.”
Riddick implies that the Cowboys should be looking to extend Lamb because of the profits he can bring to the franchise.
Jerry Jones is an excellent businessman and has built the franchise into the most valuable sports team in the world.
Lamb’s signature will increase the profits of the franchise in 2024
The ESPN anchor highlights how the First-Team All-Pro’s signature will be lucrative for the brand and be a smart ‘business’ investment for the team.
Furthermore, the 81-year-old has always looked to maximize his profits and their offseason activity has been proof of that.
Ultimately, the franchise needs to invest in Lamb purely down to the chances of them winning a Super Bowl.
Nonetheless, a secondary factor would be the money the Cowboys could make from being associated with the second-best wide receiver in the league.
