LeBron James was with Jay-Z at the Monday Night Football game between the Chargers and Cowboys recently. After taking in the action, the NBA legend shared his thoughts on the game.
The Dallas Cowboys were in LA for the Monday Night Football game in Week 6, taking on the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.
The game was described by many beforehand as a “must-win” for Dallas following their embarrassing 10-42 loss to the 49ers last week.
And win they did, grinding out a gutsy 20-17 victory to give them a 4-2 record heading into next week’s bye week.

LeBron James reacts to Cowboys vs Chargers game after watching with Jay-Z
Pop queen Taylor Swift has made headlines recently after attending multiple Chiefs games to watch rumored love interest Travis Kelce. There was also a King at the Cowboys vs Chargers game on Monday night, as LeBron James was in attendance alongside close friend Jay-Z.
The megastars appeared to be enjoying the action, as fans online weighed in on their presence.
“I see Jay-Z, LeBron James, Eminem, etc. at games now so it’s not just Taylor Swift lol,” one fan posted.
“Jay-Z and Lebron James are at the Cowboys vs Chargers game, maybe that’s why Justin Herbert is playing so damn bad!” another said on X.
After the game, LeBron took to X to share his thoughts on the game.
‘What A way to finish off week 6!!!! What A Game on Monday Night!’ he tweeted:
LeBron has a complicated history with the Cowboys
LeBron’s support of the Cowboys has been complicated to say the least over the years. In 2016, he revealed he was a fan of the Cowboys, having grown up watching them be successful in the 1990s.
He told The New York Post: “I’m a supporter of winners. As a kid growing up, I needed inspiration to get out of the situation I was in. I loved the Bulls, Cowboys and loved the Yankees. Those are winning franchises. I liked them because they gave me hope of being a winner.”
However, in recent times he has distanced himself from the franchise, which may or may not have to do with the team’s change in fortunes.
“Nah, man. I had to sit out on the Cowboys, man,” James said last year when asked if he was still a Cowboys fan. “There’s just a lot of things that were going on when guys were kneeling. Guys were having freedom of speech and wanting to do it in a very peaceful manner. … The organization was like, ‘If you do that around here then you will never play for this franchise again.’ I just didn’t think that was appropriate.”
More recently, he said on NFL on Prime Video that he was a Browns fan, which would make more sense given he was born in Akron, Ohio.
However, perhaps James still has a soft spot for the Cowboys, hence his appearance at the Chargers game on Monday.
A few more wins and it wouldn’t be totally shocking to see James switch allegiances once again.
